Shock Warranty Success

My Doetsch Tech 8000s are leaking, so I called Doetsch to see about the limited lifetime warranty. Of course they said I have to ship them mine and the will take a look at them and see if the are under warranty. Since they are on my dd I would have to buy replacements upfront and then ship my old ones. They would then decide if I would get a refund on the ones I purchased. I dont mind going through this hassle if in the end I get a refund but they have my $$ and my old shocks so if they say there not warrantied I am SOL.

So has anyone every actually had success with shock warranties? In particular Doetsch?

I know they are not the best shocks but IF they are free its worth it.

Not worth the time you will waste IMO. Buy new shocks and be done with it.

x2. The shipping costs you'll incur will probably be equal to half the cost of new cheap shocks.
