Shinobi's WJ build thread (The Blackwidow)
I finally got my jeep ( heres what happened to my old one), I found a guy selling a already lifted WJ (link from MC and JU). I talked to the seller about the jeep and it sounded like it was a good deal so my friend and I drove down to Sac to check it out . Next think I knew I bought it
.. this jeep is very clean for a 2001 , engine ran perfect and the tranny shifts really nice . The PO had removed the rear swaybar for better ride but after driving it over the pass with the wind and all I actually found it quite scary so I will be adding a Stock swaybar . The PO did also mention the front Drive shaft vibrating and making noise which wasn't too big of a deal cuz it was just the U joints But other than that the jeep Is awesome ![]() Here are specs .(copied from the for sale ad) Quote:
![]() So here is the list of upgrades and things I will be doing to the jeep . Transformer sticker ![]() RENO4x4 sticker ![]() Change all fluids Fix u joints Add stock swaybar back on Barpin eliminator Dual Steering Stabilizer Rear bumper tire carrier (Dr.Smash) Spring retainers front and rear Stainless steel Brake line extender Change all Clayton bushings Diff skid front and rear High steer upgrade Front bumper .. and more that i can't think of .. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() you know I was thinking about it .. but I don't really see a reason to do it yet unless you guys can convince me ![]() I also just ordered some some goodies from Iron rock off road can't wait Front and rear spring retainers (rear retainers are also bump stops ) Tenneco HD Steering stabilizers rear Sway bar links . and an Air compressor kit from Iron rock off road I do how ever have a couple questions .. Do I need a SYE kit for a NV247 ? With 6" of lift and LAs do I really need brake line extenders ?? Also I am going to be purchasing some Diff guards for my d30 and d44a what do you guys suggest on getting ?? I was thinking these http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=rustys&Product _Code=RA-DS30 http://www.knowwhere2jeep.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=11_93&products_id=8079 Thanks Shin |

Why are you getting a stock sway bar? Addco would be a better option IMO.

the reason I am getting a stock sway bar is because I want to be able to flex pretty good like my old jeep and still be able to keep it on the road with out disconnecting it but thats just my personal opinion let me know if im in the wrong here

I have the slider for my 44a and it has worked good so far. Blue torch now has a cover for the 44a and iro can make spacers to push your sway bar out to clear it.

Ya I can once I get my camera back from my gf. Might be a little while but it is pretty easy to explain. 2 bolts on each side of the cover hold it up and the front arms mount around the axle output. I covers the cover very well. (That sounded weird)
