well you have a stroker, doesnt count lol. I'm really hesitant about throwing 31s on my WJ now, it doesnt need to be fast it just needs to hold OD on the highway

but that shouldnt change the way the trans shifts should it?

More weight with 31's means engine works harder to move them. Trans might shift more to keep the heep moving.

Oh I thought you meant getting through first gear was easy... a stroker will haul through first gear better than factory, the shift delays are the same though... If you get a transgo shift kit apparently its like night and day fixing that, shifts are much faster and firmer

i think im going to stick with a 2" lift and 31s or maybe trim a little for some 31.6s until i can afford a 4" long arm from IRO and matching jk44s with 4.10s. then ill stuff some 33s under it. but thats eons away!

I finally got a hitch!!!!!!!!

my e-fan had been acting up a lot lately. then connections on the inside of them fan motor are touchy. i got sick of having to pop the hood every few minutes to poke them to get my fan to work.

i went to the junkyard to pull a clutch fan from any old 4.0. the JY had several zjs, and xjs, and a few wjs. while pulling out the shroud on a zj my buddy shouts at me hey check this wj out! it had a clutch fan, so i excitedly ran around to the rear. and OMG a Mopar hitch, bumper and bezel!!!!

oh and im pretty sure that the clutch fan moves more air at idle than my efan did at full blast.

and i didnt notice any loss of power :P (we'll see about mpgs when i start my work week)

Nice find! That poor WJ! haha So your WJ only had one fan from the factory? Only the electric fan?

When you mean clutch fan do you mean the mechanical engine fan that is directly connected to the engine?

Cause I have both... the one attached to the engine and the electric fan!
