Ive been here since June of '10 and have been too lazy to start it so its catch-up time
I started off with a bone stock 122k mile 99 Laredo i-6
225/70/16 bald michelin ltx
electric fan would not come on. overheated it to 250* a week after i got it (how i found out fan didnt work)
thrush super turbo muffler.
custom cold air intake. (OH-EM-GEE) it was that ghetto

245/70/16 Yokohama Geolander A/T-S worst tire I have ever purchased. bald in 12k miles. crap in sand, snow, mud, rain, and maybe even dirt.

a whole slew of electrical issues with fix after fix. not really mods, but still.
BOOM @ 147k
cracked water jacket, leads to cracked piston. leads to a DIY fix.
sounded to my very inexperienced ear like noise was coming from cylinder head. $600 on a new head, 3 days and basically just a head gasket change later.
BIGGER BOOM #6 piston shatters on startup, tick has now become rod knock.
later found smaller than quarter sized pieces of piston in oil pan.
with the help of an experienced mechanic we rebuilt my engine using a 99mm throw crank out of a 4.2L i6 and the connecting rods.
4.5L stroker. lots more power than stock. sucked big time on gas. until i changed the fuel filter!!
