well i found a d30 that has 4.11s in it with an aussie i dont think ill be keeing the locker tho i like my fulltime 4wd

I agree. I don't understand why so many Jeep enthusiasts toss out their full time like it's nothing. If it's your DD, then it's awesome to have for every day use on the road. Heck, I like it just for mountain driving because it helps tighten up the steering and glue you to the road better around all those curves. For snowy/icy weather, I wouldn't be without it. Good score on the d30, btw.

i agree snow it really does tighten up the steering plus it will help make the new axle cheaper anyone want to buy an aussie?

You dont like full time 4wd with a bad vc...

Who is talking about a VC? We're talking the 242 here. It's an open-diff full-time, but it works really well and is seamless on the road, but for the improved handling.

I'm talking about a VC. You guys said you like the full time and dont know why people get rid of it and i'm saying you wohldnt like it if your VC was bad and thats why many people swap them out

Oh man, we're off course here, and gumming up this thread. LOL What we were discussing is how a lot of guys who have the 242 will remove the option of using their full-time by installing a locker up front. I think an LSD in the front axle would be better for DD purposes, or a selectable locker if you've got the cash.

Hahaha ya I had a bad bc that's why I got the 242 as for the locker up front on a dd I would only get a LSD or a selectable locker

LSD isn't a locker. Get Kanin's super 30, just make sure they aren't his crappy asian parts.
