Get an exhaust shop involved so you can get rid of that haggard Y pipe.

Anyone want a rear jks track bar and rear addco sway bar?
Also have RE superflex rear adj control arms and front fixed arms that need a new home.
I'm scrapping my 44a if anyone would like me to cut the mounts off for them.
almost time to get the 8.8 and long arms bolted in.

for fwee? I'll take them all! where are you at in PA?
I would definitely redo the y-pipe yourself. I prefer doing stuff myself b/c then you know exactly what you want and plus you don't have to dish out money.
Can't wait to see then end results for this ZJ!

Ha ha. Not free. But I do discount well.
Lift has about 15k on it. Jks. And addco a little less.
Addco rusted pretty good. The powder coating was pretty shoddy. I'll blast and epoxy paint it before it goes. anywhere.

Rat, the monster seems to be coming along!
The shifter location looks good, I was thinking it was going to be up under the dash more. That actually is real workable. Now you just need to come up with a cool console idea.
As for the exhaust, If that's the best guy in town,,, would hate to see the worst guy in town. What did he run out of pipe and made it out of scrap? Odd place for a slip joint too. I think you need to open an exhaust shop! Put that sorry excuse of a mechanic out of business!
I had a similar experience with my 72 Chevy, was a simple dual exhaust set up with a crossover, dude butchered it. Had him fix it 3 times before it would resemble a professional fabricated exhaust and then I paid him for it.
Still got anything that was made by Jeep on that rig? :P

Here's a reasonable list of pieces I think I need to get rid of.
44a is coming out this week. Good shafts, pass is new, good carrier for someone who wants an aussie.
44re parts. 2 trans one disassembled one with an hd. Rebuild and hd OD unit with a shift kit that never worked right. Needs the stock valve body is all.
8.8 LSD Carrier for 31 spline shafts. Needs a rebuild.
4 known good magnum v8 heads.
A 360 magnum rotating assembly in good condition.
2.5" tailpipe
Stock y-pipe in ok condition and a glasspack for stock exhaust size.
231 bezel for a grand Cherokee.
A 242 for internal parts, has a new chain and shift fork bushings. Case has a crack repaired with Jbweld and a leaky output seal.
249 with a bad VC. .840 late input style. Good for parts to swap.
Fixed front and adjustable rear re superflex control arms for 4.5" lift.
I want to keep my sliders but a good offer might persuade me otherwise. It'll take some work to make them fit with the claytons frame stiffeners. Kevins LP-1's.
242 shifter and linkages.
Roof rack. The big kargo master with hilift mount and zj non5.9 rail mounts.
Might be selling my iron ram heads too. Hearing good things about the new indy/magnum heads.
Harland sharp 1.7:1 roller rockers. Going back to stock ratio for the new motor for better cam selection.
Kegger manifold with the divider removed.
I know I got some other odds and ends around.

zapped a leg from the upper part of the claytons truss to the webbing on the side of the 8.8. 1.5x1.5x.25 box welded to a 3/8 plate secured with 3 7/16 bolts. don't think there'll be any rotating with this.
i would have liked to weld the tubes to the center section, but i don't have heat or a stick welder at my disposal. this will do.
