My motor is on hold till the rest of the vehicle is done. Then i'll have to wait for good weather..etc... Probably next spring.
Clayton's, 8.8, lockers, 231, driveshafts, and an inspection before winter.

one side of the mounts is done, except for some clean up on the welds and paint.

RM , all I can say is wow , I just went through most of the read , will finish later of course .

Interesting to me to say the least . I have a 95 dodge Ram short box 4x4 in my driveway , also a 5 spd . I'm trying to sell it , but not so sure I should anymore . You just opened a whole new can of worms for the Orvis .

Super nice build

Did most of the pass side mounts. Got a couple more edges to weld in and the frame stiffener to stitch into it all.

Picking up a 231 this week for cheap. I want to get the tcase tucked higher than the 242 will go. Plus the sye's for the 31 are "better" in my opinion.

I think i'm going to go with high clearance lower control arm mounts in the front as well. Keep everything above the pumpkins.

This build is becoming a monster of a job. I'm just flying all over with it.

One other thing. I'll have to do something about my kor sliders, the clayton brackets interfere with their mounting points.

some pictures.

clear lights, they're bright as all get out with the silverstar ultras in them. the glare at light level is pretty harsh though, never realized it till i had them on pulling my other car into the driveway.

clearance of the dodge starter.

bottom of the headers.

y-pipe, i am not very satisfied with the build quality from the shop that was highly recommended to me.
(don't mind the wood, it's not going to fall past the cross member. lol)

top of headers.

hughes engines f1 intake manifold and the turbo city dual intake.

the mess that is my interior, again.

my welder.

my other new ride.

I'd redo that Y pipe . . . doesn't look like it can flow that well with the downpipes meeting like that.

it can't. i can tell in the exhaust note how much turbulence it causes.

i have to redo the whole exhaust just about to work around the clayton's anyways.

Swapped a 231 in place of the 242. Wanted the extra clearance and the full-time feature never did much for me anyway.

E-locker appears to be on nationwide backorder. I want this thing done by the first good snow but these parts companies aren't doing me any favors with their just in time manufacturing policies and waiting for enough orders before making a run of parts.

There's about 6 businesses and a couple dozen people lined up to see this thing done now. Lmao.

Too bad I can't pull some sponsorship out of this thing.
