I would like to do the ABS delete to open up space under the hood. Is this a good thread in your opinion?

Cool. Looking at your picture again I realized your on high steer arms. Which I could also do real easy with my d44 knuckles by swapping the one out.

Mine has abs removed when po went to different axles. Not that much of a difference not having abs.

well, after wrecking my car i've decided to buy a truck.

picking up a 1997 f250 hd. regular cab, 7.3 powerstroke, 5 speed manual trans, 8800# axles. it's a little beat on, but i think i can make it a decent hauler and driver.

Not bad. I hate mine. Its a turd. Pulls anything but just no power. How many miles on yours?

Yeah, my step father had a 96 power stroke auto, it was a dog but you could load that sucker up like no ones business.
The manual seems a bit snappier.
Definitely needs some tlc. 25x,xxx on it.
Needs an exhaust manifold
Needs a major cleaning of the engine bay. Theres a slight leak in the valley from something.
Tank switch or sending unit in the rear tank went and the guy never fixed it.
Needs an interior update, fogged headlights replaced, front fenders, etc.
The usual junk on a work truck.
It'll probably get some h2 wheels and 10ply a/t tires in a 33-35" flavor
I'll likely do the exhaust, intake, and fmic, possibly a different turbo.

Got it at half low blue book private value.

My boss has a 2000 power stroke. And It was a dog stock. He threw some injectors and a upgraded turbo wheel and custom tunes on it and it will put you back in the seat now.

I'll be getting the leaky manifold done Friday I'd the weather isn't too terrible. New manifold and I'll prep it for an egt probe and ceramic coat it for some rust prevention.
The manifold on it now is literally rusted through.
Hope it doesn't need up pipes just yet.
Got a rebuild kit for all the fuel related items under the hood on the way.
I'll pull the high pressure oil pump and throw some gaskets and o rings at it to make sure its in good order. They're kind of expensive to get remanufactured.
I'll be inspecting the turbo wheel too. The upgraded wheel most commonly used in the 99+ Garrett turbo is the wheel from the 94.5-98 Garrett turbo.
I've got a 6637 intake kit on the way
Needs new batteries
Going to swap to super duty 40/20/40 heated leather seats
Going to throw in real carpet
Power window/lock doors from an xlt/lariat
New headlights
New front fenders
Fix rear fuel tank/tank switch .
Get a CD player in it.

Probably do an injector rebuild or upgrade with a good tune. I'll do the turbo back exhaust if it's too rusted, otherwise I'll leave it alone for now.

i hate rust. all 8 manifold bolts are broken off in the head after trying to pull the exhaust manifold. at least four of them have studs long enough to grip. only one promises to be a total pain. it's the reason it was leaking in the first place. the bolt actually completely rusted through and is rusted into the head.
