What shocks did you kill? So far my Bilsteins seem pretty stout. I get a bit rougher than I should with a mildly lifted Jeep, too. It must be Jeep syndrome. You're insane for blowing all 4 shocks at once though!

They were re monotubes.
I doubt they went all at once. I was hammering on it for a while.

May look into some fox shocks.

Did the gear set up again on the rear finally, sort of. Got a great pattern with the set up bearings, pressed the new stuff in and ended up too deep on the pinion again. Bl was headed towards the toe pretty far so I should be able to get away with just pulling a couple thou from the pinion. Wanted it set up race tight, but I'm also tired of messing with bearing pullers.

Apparently my pinion set up race is a few thou thinner than the final install piece. I'll pull and verify so I dont take too much out of the stack.

guess i'll put up some photos again.
here's the rear sway bar i was asked about. with the 8.8 it has to be a bit off center. doesn't seem to effect performance in any way. i did have to remove the down leg from the claytons truss though. kinda unhappy 'bout that but not too big a deal.

rear gear pattern.
what i was hoping to end up with, i.e. the last pattern from the set up bearings.


that got all screwed up by the real races and bearings. it was about the same centering for backlash but was .005" deeper giving me about the same pattern greg convinced me to re-do. very defined half circle instead of feathered edges rounded on the ends. needless to say, i was an unhappy monkey.
now the final pattern. good feathered edges, not too sharp on the root, small strip on the top. i'd prefer it slightly more towards toe, but centered will do.

Welding leads 2/0. unfortunately, aftermarket audio spec battery terminals don't go that large.
