i'm gonna go with a set of boggers in a 35" flavor for wheeling. keep my 32" bfg at's for when i need to do much street running that isn't winter. i have a summer toy car i drive that gets much better mileage than the heep. even though the 5spd helped out a LOT with fuel consumption.

i'm probably just going to polish an hp30 front to hold up to the 35's and v8. rcv's, truss, wj brakes, elocker.

Yeah, I'm kinda in that boat deciding on tires too. I'm thinking 32's with my UC+bb setup, but I'm not sure on tire make yet. I'm not big on km2's, all I see in the threads reguarding them is mediocrity.
Did you have a certain kind in mind?

Boggers? I thought there were a lot of rocks in PA? I haven't heard many positive things about boggers in the rocks, but I also haven't wheeled with anyone that was running them in that situation.

They're terrible in the rocks, they have basically zero lateral traction. I've seen tons of rigs lose a line, and a few almost rolls, because of boggers. But if you're just mudding they're tits.

For PA kind of wheeling MTR w/ Kevlar are perfect.

i seem to be missing something. while something else has appeared from nowhere.

palftr, i've done all my own welding and one of my friends does a lot and purchased a 1400$ lincoln mig set up last year(i'm using his older 220 lincoln wire feed).
he does a lot of side work, what all do you need done and where are you? (pm if you want)

Finally got it out for a spin round the block(first time in a long long time). I'm definitely going to need a rear sway bar. Wow does the claytons kit roll around corners.
i'll be mounting a tj sway bar to the rear axle like some others have.

Had a stuttering and stalling issue when i'd attempt to move forward before taking her out. Figured since reverse was ok that it may be a wire issue. Checked grounds and the coil harness, then discovered that the harness for the ckp got wedged between the trans and the body. Every time the motor would torque over going forward it squeezed the connector and caused it to lose contact. Next time i drop the crossmember i'll pay better attention to it.

What about an Explorer rear bar? They're 7/8th's and mount to the axle instead of the body.

Got my engine compartment all but done now. New wires, valve covers, ac delete, wrapped fuel rails, got header wrap and heat sleeves for the coolant hoses on the way.

I'd recommend against header wraps if you're going to wheel, they'll trap all the moisture and rot them out.
