if i don't break u joints every time. lmao.
that'll be 3 tcase sticks and one manual trans stick. i'm really contemplating the ddmachine box4rocks 231 doubler kit. very good value.

i had a face palm moment a little bit ago, realized why i wasn't getting the long arms set right in the rear. i feel stupid now. shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get it situated, though final pinion angle will have to wait on the d300 and new driveshaft.

brakes are totally plumbed and bled. well, i think they are, getting them up to temp and used a few times will let me know if i need to get more air out.

waiting on money for driveshafts now. almost ready to wheel the crap out of it. i'll probably hit the trail before i take it for stickers just to be sure and have it muddy for inspection time.

just found this thread, nice work!

but i cant quite tell the difference between your exhaust and what the shop did

a local shop just installed a pre-fabed cat back on my friends zj, and looped it under the axel, surprisingly it fit its a pretty hopeless profession.

Bah, car's been eating my money lately. Needs struts and brakes. So kyb's and brembos were purchased.

4 piston brembos are massive.

Blew up the front driveshaft on the jeep. Guess it didn't like front wheel drive for minor moving around.

I've been patiently waiting for my twin sticks to arrive before finishing the driveline. But almost 2 months now so I've got to make do with the 231 and i'll have to get a second set of shafts made when I can finally install the 300. Not happy at all.

What'd you put Brembos on? I don't remember what you've got for a DD.

Built a 1350 rear driveshaft for the 231 since my twin sticks are probably not showing up before august. The case should break before a u-joint.

Got my front diff yoke swapped over and need to get that shaft cut down...or move my front axle out a couple more inches. Rear axle is already pushed back 3".

Now its flares and tire shopping time.

Iceland flares+long arms=lots of room for tires.

You really don't get a feel for how much room they give you without seeing it in person. If I limit my uptravel a little more I could stuff skinny 37's...if the dana turdy could handle it. Lol.

as of now I'm shopping for 35's and spare front shafts.

Youve already got an 8.8, why not find a HP44 and run 37s? Dont wana waste time and money with a 44?

He'd be maxing out the HP44 with 37's. That's a lot of extra money and work for 1" of ground clearance. Time to get into 1 ton territory if he's going to do that.

Bah, the board ate my long post.

I can't do full width 'tons for a few reasons. Prime being lift and tire coverage laws. Technically its illegal to lift a grand at all in pa cause its a station wagon. I've been harassed about it a few times by the authorities.

All I got done was rear suspension cycling. Put in the i6 front springs(4.5" lift in the back exactly). I have 2" of up travel before the long arms make contact with the body and the springs unseat 4" before the shocks max out.
I don't want to go to 6" but it looks like I may just so I'm not riding on my bumpstops all the time on highway.
