I pulled my motor to do the mani. I was worried about busting bolts. Made life easier

welded nuts to the ones that broke flush. made life a lot easier. don't feel like pulling a 1000lb motor for this job. the bolts on the passenger manifold are almost rusted through as well. i'll be doing that when the weather turns i believe.

'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.

Mine had a bad trans so it wasnt much more work when I did it. Dumped 1000$ into myself rebuilding trans and motor parts

cheap dorman(chinese) manifold cracked when torquing it down. 45ftlbs should not crack cast iron. damn chinese can't make any metals. even the simplest ones the freaking middle age europeans knew how to make.

i still refuse to pay 500$ for the oem manifold though.

I split a 3" galvanized nail lengthwise yesterday at work. Id never seen that before. Metal made in China with pride.

Then final angle/position for the track bar can be set.

It is very tight with such a low lift, but I built with the intention of having 4" or less up travel.

Almost 9" of down travel in the front before the coils unseat.
Excuse my lack of knowledge but what is that red rubber boot in the middle of your coil?

Prothane makes a custom cut to length coil spring insert that works as Jounce bumpers. Not the most economical solution but very comfortable on road and they keep the tires out of the fenders off road when set right.

Is a jounce bumper kinda like a shock/progressive bump stop? Sorry again!
I don't know a lot but love to learn all I can!

we lost a great forum member, a great source of good jeep knowledge, and above all my best friend in a car accident last night. i plan to start a memorial thread here on JF for him. i am still almost in denial that it's true. sad thing is this is the first place i went, i just wanted to see his pics and read his words.

Wow. I don't even have words. I never met ratmonkey in real life but he helped me more than anybody else on JF. What a huge loss.
