Yeah man definitely. I was thinking of getting a group and going up early one morning this summer, camp that night and wheel the next morning as well. You have any plans of installing a cb?

Got out today in the cold and detailed the interior and exterior of the Jeep. Hands were numb the entire time but it was worth it.

Did you paint the interior trim already? Can you post some more pictures and how you did the door trim and passenger front trim.

Ok here are some more pics. I still need to go back and use a brush to touch up where I didn't tape off quite right. I like it a lot better than the wood.

First off the trim around the radio is factory black that I bought off eBay so that's not painted. But for the rest of the trim I sanded the shine off, used a few layers of primer and sanded again. Then I used some paint prep cleaner to wipe it down and just used some matte black spray paint from Walmart. Looks pretty good.

For all the trim on the doors I pulled the panels off before I taped the trim off. But with the two pieces of trim on the dash I just taped off and used newspaper to make sure I kept the paint off the dash. This was a lot easier than removing the trim which takes a while.

dude that looks really good! I tried the same thing but only painted the small piece above the driver side vent and the radio bezel. The passenger side I started but it came out too glossy compared to the other two which had a textured finish. Now I'm thinking of just getting a roll of 3M carbon fiber to cover all the trim and door panel pieces.

Thanks man! The paint I used isn't glossy at all and matches the factory black parts pretty well. I thought about doing the carbon fiber but I wasn't sure it would look that good with my interior color. If I had the black interior, I would have though!

I might give it a go again once it gets a little warmer. It looks almost factory the way the color matches!

It was the cheap Walmart brand spray paint so I guess I got lucky. You should, you can always do the carbon fiber if it doesn't come out the way you want!

Forgot, rolled 100k a couple weeks ago.

image-2199912316.jpg

And I'm finally getting tires as soon as I can find some rubi takeoffs within driving distance. By the time those are worn I'll have decide whether to go 4.5" short arm with 33s or 6" long armed with 35s.

Also considering some kind of axle swap a little ways down the road so I can install a locker. Still have to do more research on my options there.

Just bought a flowmaster from another member here on JF. And picking up a set of rubicon wheels from a guy on Craigslist and ordering my new tires next week!

Definitely! I might paint them black, not sure yet. And I can't wait to get rid of my street tires!
