As I'm sure many of you know the ZJ/ WJ's have a much different look than a TJ or JK and are otherwise dismissed from the "jeep wave". In my opinion, regardless of your vehicle it must have two specifications to make the cut for the wave. 1 being it must be a Jeep, and 2 it must have something not stock about it. My good friend with a TJ gives a little wave to everything Wrangler and only Cherokee/ Grand Cherokee when there are aftermarket modifications. The fact is that the response he gets is minimal to none regardless ever with the Wrangler. It doesn’t take a mechanic to get a jeep, anybody can hop in, put it in Drive, try to wheel it, or anything. It does take a true jeeper to lift that sucker, spend 10 hours working on 1 item, and still love his truck and take it wheeling. I just think that the jeep wave is so thrown around that it has no meaning. We should really be saluting our fellow jeepers for there time and effort and the look of there jeep.... Just my idea. Post yours

sorry but if your jeep looks stock your not gonna get a wave unless you wave first , regardless if your a tj, cj, jk, yj, zj, xj, kj, mj, bj, whatever

I wave at the sick looking Jeeps... or the ones that look good. I feel kind of awkward waving at lifted jeeps, when I'm stock. As soon as I get my kit on and get it looking good all those Jeeps are getting waves from me!
96 ZJ : IRO 3.5in Lift, 31x10.5 General Grabber AT2's, ARB Front Bumper, XRC10 winch, other misc mods.
I wave at any lifted Jeep I see, and some stockers (but never a compass or patriot). Around here, I've gotten only 2 waves back: one from a guy in a stock red TJ, and another from a lifted TJ on what looked to be 35s. Even the few other lifted Jeeps around don't normally wave (in town, I've seen a lifted ZJ, a lifted WJ, and 3 lifted TJs).
Of course, when I've been a little bit into upstate NY, I got a few waves back.
