Project Shockwave

Picked this nice looking 5.9L up from a buddy in my offroad club.

Some recent pictures. Cb antenna installed along with trans temp gauge. Waiting on air/fuel ratio gauge to come in.

Great sticker

Sold it to me for a pretty good price as well. Anyways, my plans are to make it into somewhat of a prerunner style 9'er. It has the ponies behind it to tackle some dunes and since I have been mostly a trail kind of guy, figured this would be a cool direction to go. OH and if you havent already figured it out, this is my 2nd 9'er that I own. Here is my fleet of rigs.

Project Down and Dirty

Project StarScream

And then finally, Project Shockwave

Let's just say my neighbors think I am crazy, as well as my wife. Lol but its a Jeep thing right?

Anyways like I said, it will be made into a prerunner/daily driver. So here is a list of things I want to add to it. Plus I hope one day I can do this with it.....

List of things.
Iron Rock Offroad front long arms
Prerunner front bumper-in garage
5.5 inches of lift-Iron Rock Offroad
Fiberglass fender flares
AEM brute force air intake
Kevin's offroad light bar
tint the front windows
Stereo upgrades

Thats pretty much it. Probably will add a few things here and there but those are the parts I want to get ordered and out of the way and installed. Updates will follow w/pictures of course when I add things. Planning on painting the wheels black this weekend-if its not too hot outside...

Thanks man. I'm pretty proud of my collection. They all need a few things here and there and I still have some parts in the garage for a few of them. Overall though, they are starting to look the way I want them to look.

The black headlights are pretty slick to be honest with you and would look killer on your 9'er.

I would look at this if you want a good idea its being built for ECORS but you can take ideas from his suspension build if you plan to jump it

biggoofy-I liked his build until he started to chop the **** out of it. His suspension set up has made me go back to the drawing board on a few things though. Thanks

So real quick. Was thinking about doing a roof rack on Shockwave but wanted the prerunner look. This I found what I was looking for. What do you guys think?

It has that prerunner look to it I think.

Well havent updated this thread in a long time so figured I would now. I decided to part out the trail ZJ and build up Shockwave. Took the ProComp Mts and cragars off of the trail zj and throw them on. I think it looks better now and gives it a better look. I plan on taking the rear bumper off of the trail zj and putting it on sometime next week (hopefully it would be freezing outside). The IRO long arms are also going to go on along with the IRO 4.5 inch springs I have sitting in the garage. Probably going to add 2 inch spacers so that I can run 33 General Grabbers. Havent figured out if I am going to go with new wheels yet but that will probably happen.

Pics

More pictures will follow. Probably going to have everthing taken off the old ZJ by next week.
