ok well i got the back doors finished today and i have to say i'm much happier with the way the back one's came out than the front. i guess i get better as i go haha. i'll call these done for now but eventually i'm going to redo the fronts and make them level with the rears and i'm going to do away with the i-bolts and add gate latches like the one pictured below. i'm also going to add some 6" marine speakers on the rear doors since all i have is tweeters in the dash when the doors are off lol. oh yeah and my total build cost in these so far is $15.44 for basically grinding wheels and spray paint lol

here's how they turned out

i also used a hinge setup on the rears that of course is already familiar to the jeep world (again please don't flame on my welding ability too much, i know it's not the greatest)

been a while since i posted here and it's been a while since i got to mess with the heep. anyway i started a new job and i've been working some crazy hours so not alot of time to wrench on the jeep as i used to but we're about to slow down some in the winter months so i'll be able to get my hands dirty again soon. i've started to fab up new tube doors for the front and i bought the 4 gate latches i need to make the latch alot more safely.

today i bought a gallon of truck bed liner and did away with my carpet. so first i decided to make some drain holes in my floor boards since the whole point of me doing this is so that i can wash my floors out after wheeling and so that it can get wet when my doors are off and it won't matter.

i made a drain hole in each front floor board, both sides in the back floor boards, as well as one on each side underneath the rear seats since i have found water underneath those before for some weird reason.

then of course i removed all the seats and any remaining carpet and then scuffed up the floorboards and vacuumed really well.

and here's what it looked like after the first coat

then i decided it didn't quite have as much texture to it as i'd have liked so i picked up a few cans of rubberized undercoating and gave it a coat of that and finally another coat of truck bed liner. and this was the end result

Why did you cut the front part that connects the two unibody rail ends together off?

Also, rhinolined cladding looks amazing. I did it to my old Xj and couldnt have been happier

I got my adjustable CA's yesterday. Check out outlawsuspension on eBay. I picked up this whole kit of 8 shipped to my door for $500. And I'm really impressed with how beefy they were when they got here.

well i finally got my 8.8 and even did a little wire wheeling on it already. its got some pretty bad rust in some spots. the brake lines are trash and the diff cover is so rusty i think i'm just gonna do away with it and buy a new one.

i know it's probably not the toughest but i'm looking at this chrome cover on ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHROME-STEEL...ht_1357wt_1161

i'm also thinking of having my buddy fab up some diff cover skids when he helps me fab the parts for the axle swap

Well mine was pretty damaged on the drivers side and I had previously welded on a homemade stinger bumper but later decided that I wanted a new bumper that tied into those two uninody rails and in order to do that I had to remove that piece. For the moment I have the factory bumper cover on it but I'm having a friend fab me up a new bumper.
