Jeep looks awesome though, amazing how much you can learn in two years. What are the possibilities of getting the plans for that bumper and getting another set cut? I'd be highly interested in it.
Lets not start the 44 vs 30 argument, because It will go on and on. I would choose the 30.

As far as the bumper goes, the plans are online. Feel free to get them cut, they are not mine.

ZJones... See ya in Moab at GSW this year?

Okay guys, bumper is done and mounted. Here come the rest of the pictures. I just recently started trying a thing called "working out" and that has made my nights after work too late to go home and update this.

I did end up making a few changes to the design, by cutting up certain laser pieces. Some of you that made this bumper without a winch on it would not need to. I cut holes in the bottom plate, otherwise it is literally impossible to bolt the winch down, the bolt goes in from the bottom. Also, the winch would not sit far enough forward on the mounts because part of the front fairlead fascia was in the way.

Once again, cell phone pictures at work... Sorry guys. I will get some better ones once my cam is working again.

oooo JK Axle and sweet bumper

Cutting some little extra support tabs for the winch plate.... Also not in the design.

I wanted to put D-Ring Tabs on the bumper, because I cant necessarily access my KOR Radiator support that well anymore. I will be selling that too if anyone is interested.

These D-Ring Tabs are just a prototype right now, we do not have all the parts made. Its a half inch thick tab, and then you weld in a little tube that holds the D-ring to a tighter fit. We did not have the tube, so I had to machine it.

all tacked up.

And now for the spacer, I started with a piece of 1.25" steel, that already had a pilot hole of 3/8". I then drilled out on the lathe to accomodate the D-Ring.

All made, faced off, and welded on.

After that, I prepped the part, and sanded the crap outta it with the DA sander.

Since I could not fit the bumper in my Jeep, luckily it was nice out so I could drive my jeep home with the bumper on and not have it get hit with rain and rust out.

Finished picture coming in a second.... Ill go take one.

For now, my liscence plate will sit there, I am not quite sure where I will put it, maybe I will just get one of those bolt on fairlead mounts.

I put this on over the weekend, and you can tell its sitting a little low. I plan on using the forklift at Iron Rock to lift it up. I will loosen the bolts, lift the bumper up so its nice and tight, then tighten up the bolts.

Now before GSW I just have to get gears in the HP30, and 8.8. Also my Aussie in the rear 8.8....

But it this way... Now I understand why KOR charges $800 for his bumper... I have well over 25 hours into the bumper, and assuming standard labor rate is $75 an hour, you have to charge that much.

And guys, I think I have my stock radiator support still. I just have to go look for it up in the attic.

Well guys I finally got my 4.88 gears in my rear end, I went to install the Aussie after getting the pattern all set and noticed I needed thrust washers for my Aussie. I did not have them since I bought just an open carrier, not one that was already setup.

The front end is still where we left off. I am running around with 3.73's in front, and 4.88's in back! haha not a good idea if you plan on using 4wd, just in case mine were to get bumped or put into 4wd, I took out the front shaft for good measure.

I bought G2 gears, and the Aussie locker. Both are installed on the 8.8... It was my first time ever regearing and man oh man what a pain in the butt... very time consuming.

I also went to the junkyard yesterday afterschool and pulled the thrust washers, and extra crosspin, 2 spare 8.8 shafts, and parts to convert the rear to disc brakes!.... Not a huge rush but at least now I have the parts. I bought the used calipers from the junkyard because core charges kill you with those. I plan on buying new loaded calipers and rotors before installing it all.

I left my camera at Iron Rock so I do not have pictures right now, but will hopefully later tonight or tomorrow.
