I apologize... forgot the camera at home.

So I was going to regear the 8.8 the other day and put the Aussie in.... Pulled off the tires, pulled off the brakes and wheel spacers, after I pulled off the diff cover I looked at the carrier and thought....wtf.... Turns out my 8.8 has been a limited slip the entire time. So that was time well wasted, I must say the 8.8 sure does SUCK. I always thought it was open, and did not even notice when I did the 8.8 build.

So instead, I started on the bumper build. FYI the winch mount is for sale now. $250 shipped, comes with mounts.

Mocked up.... Had to cut off some parts of the factory mounts and hammer in some of the front fascia.

and how it is now, I still need to put the winch mount on and line it up with my unibody mounts. I am sanding down the whole thing grinding all welds.

Wow! I want to do some of the same things to my jeep. I love the v8 swap and would love to do one, but don't have the mechanical know how to do it. Wanna take a trip up to NH and help me swap in a v8? lol I hope some day my jeep will be half as good as yours.

check out my build of Mudzilla

2010 jk islander aka Mudzilla 2.5 AEV lift 35" kevlars, PSC front and rear bumpers Q10000 winch. More to come!

d30 + 37's + V8 = axle shaft go boom Great build man, that sucks about the 8.8 though. Time for a D60 or 14 bolt I think

Hahahhaha, we run D30's with all sorts of lockers, 37's, 36's, 35's all day with V8's, 4.0's, built 4 cylinders... They hold up pretty good.

I got a carrier from Luke at IRO, so thats all good.

I am crossing my fingers, Darrick and I from IRO Might head down there and wheel. The more I look at my Jeep the more I think 8" Is too high... But then again Our black one here wheeled Moab on the same setup.
