I took off the hood decals that said Iron Rock Off Road, I will be putting one on the rear bumper but would like the hood blank. I also got my onboard air system pulled and ready to go into dirty princess

Time to build some rock sliders!

I started with the Main tubes....cut

Time to drill and tap some holes for mounting to the pinch

CB Mount is on, you can see it on the rear drivers tail light. I got the CB mounted too, just have not ran the coax yet. I tried mounting this one clean, you cant really see any wires as the CB sits there.

Time to mount the Iron Rock On Board air system!

Its not necessary to mount it down to the floor, but I would highly recommend it. Since you are hardwiring it in anyway, you might aswell bolt it down too. The first time I mounted this I traced the bolt pattern on the carpet of growaset, and drilled the holes. Bolts through the top, nuts on the bottom. Worked great, but was a PITA to do. This time, I opted to weld some home brewed tabs on, and then self tap it through the floor. Still WAYYY strong, and a valid tiedown point for cargo, but it went a lot faster. Then, for the ground wire I just sandwiched it on one of the tabs when I put the screw through the floor. I will get better closeups of the mounting later.

The tube hanging out there is a remote drain tube, if you have an air compressor you know you are supposed to drain them after using them. This IRO Kit includes the line and everything so you can drain the water not on your carpet, but outside of the Jeep.

Lookin forward to what you do with this one.

What are your front bumper plans? I saw a stock cover in your backseat in a pic but I figured youd take grow-a-sets bumper
Front bumper is on, I posted a picture a few up from this post where you can see it. No way was I going to make another front bumper with 40+ hours of labor...

The new Jeep is looking awesome man. Keep up the great work. I'm interested to know more about those grill lights. They are kind of growing on me a little.

Next two projects to mount up, the drop bumper (for mn law) and the gas tank skid.

When I went to pull off the hitch from the dirty princess, she gave me 4/6 bolts. The other two were on the drivers side, and the nut was just spinning on the inside of the unibody. So, off with the rear bumper. I was able to cut in between the unibody and the hitch, and get the hitch to drop down. I then pulled out the factory nutplate, and junked it. Instead of welding the rusty nuts, back to the rusty, thin sheetmetal, I opted to make my own nutplate quick.

Antiseize applied, and bolted up! Perfect!

Thanks! The Grill lights are walmart specials actually, no more than $20. They are wired to the factory fog lamp wiring.

and, another picture of the wire hiding job for the sub/amp wiring.

Thats all I have for today. Does anybody want any pictures of anything in specific?

I plan on getting pictures of the C Gussets, CB Antenna Mount, CB Radio Mounting, Air Compressor Mounting....

Whats in store for it.

-12" Mopar M decal for back window
-www.ironrockoffroad.com decal for back bumper
-Switch rims with growaset, 15 x 8 crager imitation beadlock rims
-new custom rear bumper (not anytime soon)
-new intake manifold
-new air filter (cone style)
-tune?
-IRO 3" exhaust, and high flow catalytic converter
-Find a coolant temp sensor to replace the one in the upper hose, so I can take out the switches and put the VIC Back in.
-VIC back in with 242 wiring
-Adjust rear axle, sitting with the wrong pinion angle.

I want this to be a well made rig, clean, wheels great, and fast.

Surprisingly, they actually do pretty well. Not quite as good as my hellas did, but I like how these are smaller.

Think you could snap a picture of just those on so I can get an idea. I'm in no hurry though so whenever you get around to it is fine.

These are the wheels that I plan on putting on it. They are on my other jeep right now, and are showing some signs of rust on the outer beadlock ring. I plan on wire wheeling, and repainting the outer ring.
