i put new longer shocks in and that helped out with the flexing and smoother ride!

also painted my grill!

so i haven't posted this yet but last week my buddy and i did a NP242 swap in my 5.2L V8! it took us roughly 10 hours to do! alright here are some pics.

this is the NP249 that we pulled out. it had some mud on it.

this is the new (to my jeep atleast) 242!

what i didnt get pictures of was swapping the input shafts. the 249 input shaft into the 242 tcase. also the speed sensor out of the 249 into the 242. i was lucky and my 249 was a 1995 tcase so the 96 242 gear cut was a match! put it all back together and now there are the final details the select track bezel! we also found out that the difference in length was a 1 1/2" longer! so we had to shorten the rear driveshaft about 1 1/2" so that it could fit.

sorry haven't posted in a while been busy... The damage is all fixable to a degree. I am going to fix it its going to be a little while but its getting fixed! I started tearing it apart the other day and it gonna take some time in straightening out the hit area. Also it has been really cold up here and with the ice storm it has made it really difficult to work on it but the past few days I've been puttering on it.

i took off the fender to find this....

hooked the the come-along to the axle to hold it in place and not get pushed farther back when i move it with a smaller tire on.

then put the smaller tire on. Also found my shock to be bent... kinda expected.
