Project Bailee: ZJ build

Ill start with my jeeps name it is Bailee. shes a '93 grand cherokee with a 5.2L V8 with 263,xxx miles and runs great for the miles it has!

before i did anything to her.

i to get it back on the road i had to put in new upper rear CAs and E-brake cable on the passenger side then patch the holes in the rockers... and doors took a little while! drove it thru the summer then i decided i wanted to lift it and so i made 2 inch blocks for it.

the steel wheels on the driver side I got off a guy across town with tires mounted on them so i could pass inspection.

now some flex pics with the sway bars still connected and stock length shocks.

the lights i added and hooked them up to the fog wiring. bull bar was made of scraps i had layin around.

it snowed this just looked cool then when it got darker i turned on the led light i installed under the headlights.

my buddy came over and we swapped his 32x11.5 maxxis tires and black d window rims onto my jeep and took pics.

since then i got another pair of lights and then did an alignment on the front i had a half inch of toe in more pics in the next few posts with the lights.

Those blocks look kinda sketchy, but it hard to see how well they're mounted. Anyway, cool idea and you don't seem to have had any troubles with it.
Its hard to see what's wrong when you're looking at your own vehicle, so here is an outside perspective. I think you could drive the streets with the 32's but even big pot holes will be very frustrating.
Here is my rig: 31's, no lift

You'll want at least 3" if not 4.5" to run 32's and enjoy it.

I was honestly surprised how well the 32s fit. We went lock to lock and they never rubbed. We flexed it out as well and had no problems. He's got the little tires back on it now, because I needed mah tires back

4.5" would be overkill for 32s.

Could be, 3- 4.5 is a matter of preference in this scenario. I just got the impression that Bailee is kinda big on having some flex so the 4.5" would provide more satisfaction.

I acually got 2.5" out of the blocks. And they arent the best but wanted some height they will hold up till we put the tunderbird coils in. With those im thinking ill get 3.5-4 and we can squeaze 33's nicely!

You would get a lot of flex with that!

You could run 31's with the lift you have now and be fine till the "bigger tire bug" bites you.

I ran those 31's, no lift for almost 2 years. It worked quite well cuz of the backspacing of the Exploder rims (coincidence!). But I paid the price in gas, paid a price inside my fender wells(flares have cuts in them), but mostly I paid a price in humility cuz of all the crooked looks I got.
I live in the smallest CITY in the U.S. so the locals notice I've upped the ante now

My reasoning: Tires/Rims and a Lift Kit, and all the cr@p it didnt come with is a huge expense that makes the project harder to achieve. So I snagged the tires and rims from my Exploder and was halfway there. The Exploder got the Jeep rims and the 225's, and got sold for $2000. That money went for the lift.
