That's less than 2 thousandths of a percent. NHTSA is all like, "Houson, we have a problem."

So, what will happen to all of us that have lifted it, re- geared it, and even changed out the axles?

Guess IF I had the Lift I plan on (7"IRO Full Longarms) it already, I'd get one of those Drop hitches, and put it on there to stop them little cars from hitting me :P

It its specific to the zj's thought. It really doesn't belong anywhere we have like 9 threads of this.

And hey that's not a bad idea. take it off and go get new ones

Seriously... Flaming people when we're talking about COMBUSTIBLE FUEL TANKS. Didn't someone ever teach you that Flames and Fuel Vapors don't mix!

On another note, I went into the dealership today and told them that I was ready for my free fuel tank skid plate, and was practically laughed out of the place. I just told them that my mom called and asked about it. They told me that Jeep is disputing the recall, and that IF there is a recall on 20 yr old vehicles that we'll be notified by Snail Mail. What about us that bought it used from another person? Will they get notified?

Also, My XJ has a fuel tank mounted behind the rear axle, and in front of the Bumper. It even looks HDPE(Plastic). Will I get 2 Skid Plates?

WTF are you on?

First, in the slim chance there is a recall, they send notifications via mail to all current registered vehicle owners. Registration information is provided to Chrysler by each states' DMV.

Second, no where in any of this is the XJ mentioned.

Nothing, just saw the comment and Laughed.

So that is how they get the info. Cool?!?

Yeah yeah... I know the XJ hasn't been mentioned, but beings my spare vehicle is the XJ, I want it to be safe as well...

Really

Everyone used to do the R.E.P.O.S.T. thing. Really miss that.

People used to be so much fun on here.

Others didn't appreciate the humor.

So many of these keep popping up too.

Too bad, it was such fun. Maybe it was a different forum.
