yea i was thinking about incorporating the upper arm mounts into a simple truss. what do you think about using the stock location for where the uppers mount on the body side?

so like lower long arms and upper short arms? hmmmm. i guess I dont know enough about suspension geometry to say if it would work without binding up. I guess it would be the same concept as the a-arm, would probably just flex better with heims or JJ's

you're right, if I did it that way it would only limit the capabilities of the lower arms.....I guess what I need to do first is build the truss and body brackets for the long arms...i really wish i had a torchmate plasma table...that would be awesome. Here at work we have a huge CNC laser but they're anal about engineers programming it for "government" jobs. I'll bring out the cardboard this weekend and moch up a truss. lol.

you can always buy just the frame brackets from Clayton. all youd need is the two brackets that weld to the frame.....Clayton sells them for 199 for the set and Kolak could probably get ya a little off that......would make it easier and still not break the bank

Oh trust me, it's gonna be slick

I like functionality more than anyone, but I also like my fabrication and welding to look professional and have cool looking designs

I can take care of that for ya, might be a while though.

That's more "doable" for me, I really like that setup but I would prefer to have rubber on the axle mounts and JJ's everywhere else. Can you measure cut to cut on your arms as well? I have a bunch of 1/4" wall tubing laying around and that would be easier than me talking my boss out of a bunch of tubing

Ordered isolators for the front a couple days ago..

Locker will be here tomorrow and isolators Friday. But I can't work on the ol' Heep this weekend. Gotta take my son to the sleep apnea doctor in Charleston Friday evening and stay all night for them to do a sleep study. It's only a couple hours away but the drive is horrible, gotta pay $6 in tolls one way and the interstate is nothing but mountains..
