Edit: Y'ing the exhaust into a 2.5" pipe with a homemade glasspack (yes, homemade) with a turn down before the rear axle made it sound like a non-turbo diesel tractor. I loved it! :-D

The thread is about dealers and private sellers inability to research what they're selling, not about your Ford engine what kind of exhaust you put on it.

I guess I'm sorry for carrying on a conversation and replying to someone talking about the 4.9/clarifying the difference between the Jeep I6 and the Ford I6. And on top of that, how dare me to add in a fun comment to add a little character to a thread that's probably about to fizzle out.

Since my comment was so useless in your eyes, I'll hand this thread over to you so you can add valuable insights like 'way off subject'.

Oh please, don't get your panties all in a bunch here, this thread is pointless to begin with. Go get upset about some blatantly wrong Tech info that gets blasted around here. Not over a comment about an engine. Plus he was making a comparison to the I6's from Jeep and Ford that another person had commented about.

The majority of people here know way more about WJ's and Jeeps than the average person out there. With everyone out there, someone is going to call the 4.0 a V6 instead of a I6 or the 4.7 a 5.7. So what, just laugh a little and don't take it so personally!

By the way, the 04 Special Editions had body color matched bumpers and cladding.

http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/3605897881.html

I apologize I didn't mean to hurt any ones feelings or insult any one, I was just play fully giving ChrisHager a hard time, I would like to think as a fellow jeep lover I would get along with all of you just fine in the real world.

Didn't you know when you put in a k&n FIPK it turns the motor into a 5.9?

Absolutely correct. I'd be more surprised if people *didn't* know this. If you can get more air in the engine, then obviously the size numbers go up!

Have you ever seen a WJ with a tuner spoiler? I bet not because once you put that on, they're so fast they aren't street legal anymore.

My dad isn't a jeep guy, but even he knew that a 4.0 was too small for a V8

Only too small to be an American V8. Cross the pond and you'll find lots of really small V8's. I wish we had more of those over here.

The Lincoln LS has a 3.9 V8 and I know holds had a small v8 as well but its displacement size has slipped my mind.

Sent from inside my 4.0.

Don't forget Land Rover... had 3.5, 3.9, 4.0 V8s in the US market. Audi had a 3.6L V8 for 1990-1991 (model "V8 quattro") as well as 3.7L for 1997-2002 (A8 FWD) , and BMW had (gasp) a 3.0L V8 in the E34 530i.

Too small for 'merica with all our hills. Honestly I wish more small V8's would make their way here.
