Thanks.

I don't know what happened to the GCOTM. RedZJ was heading it up I think, but I don't know if he frequents the forum as often now. We had a good list of themes for upcoming contests, too. If I wasn't transferring away from home I would think about taking it over, but I'll be without a computer here soon.

Man that really sucks, cause there are some really awesome builds going on, and it seems like a lot of fun. Maybe we could do like two contests for GC of the 1/4 of year to catch up or something haha. Does anyone know what all it takes to moderate this contest? I spend so much time on JF, I feel like I could maybe do it lol. Then have an actual excuse to tell my wife why I'm on all the time

You got to put out the months notice for the contest at the first of the month. Then you gather all the entries until like 20-25th of the month. Then you throw up the entries in a thread and a mod should sticky it for you. You vote until about the last of the month. Then you'll announce you won after that. I think that's how it goes down.

People always try to take it over but it always falls through the cracks. Not as many people enter as you would think so it gets boring. When I did it, I had to beg people to enter.

Yea, I remember that being a problem, too. We just don't have the volume the TJ section or even the XJ section has IMO.

Yeah that's true. I guess the forum is just like where I live, EVERYONE has a Wrangler, quite a few XJs around, and absolutely ZERO modded WJs haha. Oh well, maybe in December we could do a GCOTY.

It seems like theres enough gc's including zjs, wjs, wks and wk2s. And you would have to include previous winners. Also maybe do it quarterly instead of monthly. You could post it on each gc forum and see what kind of feed back you get.

Yeah I was definitely thinking about doing quarterly to catch up, since the year is just now half over it would be perfect. Or just start fresh now, idk, maybe I will post it up and see what happens. Definitely have a few builds in mind already as nominees

Does anyone know why REDZJ stopped doing em? There was a Christmas themed one for December, people submitted, but no vote happened and I assume the Artec gift card prize was never given away...

Oh wow there were prizes too? Monthly prizes, or just for the GC of the year?

Busy with life and lack of people being interested.

Sent from my socks.
