They're running a special right now . . . $375 and the guy I bought it from will write unlimited tunes. If I decide to go crazy building the motor, I'm covered until the point I need standalone engine management (which I can pretty much guarantee I will never get to that point).

That's off a TJ. It takes a little work to get it on there. There are a couple writeups on here though, and it's definitely worth the effort if you can find the bezel cheap. You may need a new gas cap with the tether, though.

Yeah man, I was really surprised how much it changed the tone. The 5.9 has a nice sounding exhaust to begin with, but I didn't expect that big of a change.

Little update . . .

-Everything in the rear end is basically new . . . yoke, seals, bearings, spider gears. Took $1600 and 3 tries on the mechanic's part to get it right.
-Cleaned and conditioned the leather tonight with Lexol. It clearly hadn't been done in a while, and the leather feels a lot better now
-Bought new fog bulbs (not a big mod, I know)

Current plans are to buy an intake, Stillen front rotors to match the rear, then start piecing together parts for the exhaust. I'm in the process of trying to get rid of my Laredo, so things are kind of on hold for the moment.

And because these build threads are worthless without pictures:

go with a super 44 for the muffler. youll thank me later when you hear it in person.
with a tailpipe its really not that loud inside.. but apparently its really loud from behind

i cant wait for my ecu to kick in. if it does and it doesnt change my exhaust tone you should yank ur sct and send it to me for a day so i can see if it changes mine too lol

I'll keep this in mind . . . I'm doing exhaust from the manifolds back, so it might be a little too loud for me. The exhaust is clearly audible currently. I looked around on youtube and know that I want at least a 40 series though.

I'd send you the SCT tuner, but its specific to the VIN.

I've never set up gears before and it wasn't $1600 all at once . . . it was a series of problems. This shop won't be getting my business again.

That's been my plan since before I saw them on Roger's jeep.
