Update... cargo rack is about finished... all tacked and welded... went through and clean joints smooth to touch... primed

Mounted light brackets... used I bolt on backside...another place to attach tie downs too.

It is ready to paint... too bad weather isn't... rain...humidity is too high... paint wont stick correctly.... maybe tomorrow...

Time is running out.... MAY 1.... 24 days left.....getting whining noise from alternator...might pick up a spare from yard to put in milk crate

Oh yeah... replaced front rotors... found that dumb-arse who previously owned this WJ had used a bolt in place of one of the slide pins.... had to get caliper bracket from yard with pins... oh and the WJ I got it from had brand new brakes on it... FREEbee.... brakes must have just been put on before scrapping it...not even scuff marks across face yet.

Picked up new alarm collar for entry key... old one sometimes works... sometimes doesn't.

Got an AC outlet for rear cargo area too....

Changed all interior lights to RED LED along with dash lights... video soon...

Snagged a multi-blinker (OEM $57) from yard.... when I purchased a key-fob ($5) he said keep will get reprogrammed when I get new key made.

Well the weather cleared enough to get rack painted and clear coated... wired and switches in.... also the multi-wire run to back third brake light. I mounted 6 switches and only using 2 right now... guess that mean more things to add later

After mounting... I dont like it.... when I get back from road trip... MOD that thing... gonna make her fatter... hang off the sides... looks too skinny.

Drop suggestions if you want.

Well I tried and tried to clean the windshield, used razorblades on it.. rubbing compound... wiper streaks and small pits all over it... so time to replace it.

called about 20 places ranging from $175 (tomorrow) to $280 (safe-light)... called Low Price Auto Glass on W. Colonial Dr. http://www.lpautoglassorlando.com/ ($175.08 with tax) told me between 12pm - 2pm... he called about 1:30pm... was done at 1:50pm.... COOL nice clean windshield.

Decided to further the look.. removed pinstripe on both sides and decals... will let dry for two days then use 3M decal glue to put back on... not looking forward to the "Grand Cherokee" on doors though Thought about doing the "Laredo" in OEM paint but did one letter and decided NO....wiped off paint and retouched with black and flat...

IMO that rack looks fine. If you were able
to move the two front lights on the sides and get some bigger ones up front. It may widen it out. Plus you can use the extra switches

Ammo cans on the side might be cool. Don't Really know what style your going for, but some cans that could go on and be removed would be pretty handy.

Well the vibration from 45 - 55 is gone... now I have wobble type vibration at 55-60.... think I already know what this is.... when I did CV boots the short shaft CV was worn... had to file some sharp edges...

Badabing... that is why I grabbed that short shaft while at the yard.... that is todays goal... yesterday I did rear driveshaft.... put in "De Best" MOOG Ujoints I could get.. SPPI (sand, prime, paint, intsall) and took it for a drive...

I already replaced rotors.... dont think axles are bent... looked pretty straight when I pulled them for boots...really want to upgrade to Ujoints instead of those CV....maybe after I get back.

Took WJ to local tire shop... had tired rebalanced... everything is smooth again...

Washed, waxed and getting everything ready for trip... went to Mt Dora flea market picked up hitch pin (need to drill out for lock), picked up some bungees, also some para cord for tying down items... almost time to boogie.

Other roommate wants to go but someone has to stay and take care of this place....not a total fun thing... the drive will be tough
