New here!

Hi guys, I just picked up my 1998 jeep grand cherokee, and of course I LOVE IT.

I am new to the jeep scene, so Im just trying to learn for now.

I do want to get a lift kit put on mine, and it does need new tires. Any suggestions anyone?

Welcome to JF.

Check out the ZJ/WJ Picture Thread and see what lift/tire combo you like most. It really depends on what you want to do with your ZJ.

Decide what size tire you want first. Then lift/trim to fit that tire.

2" bb and 31" is popular if you are lifting for looks.
3.5 f->r is popular as well.

Welcome!

I think for starters, test the waters a little bit first and get a 2" Budget Boost (aka BB).. you can learn how to take apart your jeep, and still have a mild lift for it to go on the trails with. A 31" tire will do just fine with a Budget Boost

Welcome! Do you know what you want to do with it? Rockcrawling? Mud bogs? Bit of both?

This is mine, the specs are in the little drop down menu on the side.

Welcome! Yup, you'll definitely learn a lot. I joined here back in July or somewhere around there and have learned a ton since then. In fact, I ordered my lift about a month ago and just got wheels and tires to go with it and will be installing it here soon when time permits! Mostly everyone here is very friendly and willing to help out with any problems you encounter. As said before, learn to use the search before asking a question so you don't get flamed haha.
