Need help!!! Losing money

I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee limited

Many problems i think but heres the list

security lights flash on when i try to start it
check engine light comes on of course
motor wont turn over
on a good battery it ticks when i try to start it
tried to turn crankshaft and turned some then turned the other way some and it stuck again
oil dipstick will not go in all the way
no water/metal in oil
has a new alternator

need to know if motor is locked up or what other things could be the problem

What is the history of the vehicle ? Did all this happen at once?

Sounds like you need to start getting ready to rebuild or swap motors he might of had the coolant drained because he had it sitting dew to its problems or he was one if these people who do not check and maintane there engines vital fluids.try turn your crank shaft with a socket if it doesnt turn its locked up. Cant tell you about the dip still never had the problem or seen the problem i would drop the oil pan and take a look around for obstructions that would stop the dip stick from going in all the way. metal shavings in the oil is not a good sign you have wear any where from cylinder walls to your crank shaft or both and every where in between. you could rebuild your motor if its not just completely screwed.me personaly i would swap instead of rebuilding

I didt see where you already turned the crank....had a 95 it made a loud knocking sound that varied with rpms and wether or not it was in park or drive turned out to be the.crank shaft had gotten warped instead of parking it until rebuild time he.continued to drive it until it quit.if i had a quess your crank is warped thats why you can only turn it so far in each way

If you already plan on buying a engine block.you could start the tear down that would give you a good idea if any parts might be worth saving in case of a rainy day or if you could just rebuild and put up as a spare motor
