yes, the washers came out--as that's what Aussie's instructions said to do. It was mentioned to remove them, but never to reinstall them.

I didn't measure ****, as my buddy did the locker install while I worked on the front drive shaft, and ran to get my wheel lock key to finish getting the axles out.

That "BANG!" you hear in the video, probably happens 30-40 times in a 2 mile drive from here to wally world. (again, no such thing as a straight or flat road here). I eased into and out of a left hand turn today, and it locked and unlocked while going straight (obvious by the BANG!) a few times.

I tore it all down and put the thrust washers back in there. Street driving improved 1000%

Street handling is still magnificent. I think it's actually perma-locked, but I'd rather have that than the opposite.

In other news:

Logan's Metal Fab bumper, Badlands 9k winch.

I'm thinking instead of lights in the light holes, I want to put some model rockets that look like missiles. I wonder how often I'd get pulled over for that ?

Looks good, man. I like the rocket idea. How about you use some red leds for backlighting, recessed back behind the hole, so they have an eerie glow at night?

Transmission is acting up again. Looks like I'm going to rip out all the wiring today and go over it.

Typing on phones sucks

Awesome!

Feel free to ask any questions. I've pretty much re-built the entire Jeep from the ground up, so I know my way around pretty well.

I pulled the entire wiring harness.

When plugged into either the old or new TCM, I get 9-10 volts on pin 87 of the relay wiring socket (no relay in there, there should NOT be voltage there). If I don't have any TCM plugged in, and jump pins 56 to 15 (meant to engage the relay on pin 86), I don't have the voltage. You guys think the both the old and new TCMs are bad?

I'm going to print wiring diagrams, study them, and get back at it tomorrow.

Did you have to pull the tranny to get the full wire harness out?
