I'll agree that there is an inavailability of store bought mounts for this rack, but i will disagree with is just being for looks. I have the rola rack and its a GREAT rack. With a little ingenuity you can make hi-lift and shovel/ax mounts. I have a hi-jack mounted on mine, and have ideas for a shovel/ax mount once i get the shovel and ax.

As for light mounts, a lot of guys drill the tubes and bolt through them to attach the lights. Its a great rack for the price!

Na, i love it and bought it because it looked good(includeing on paper-wieght limit and size specs) for 129$ instead of the 300$ surco or safari brand. I have my spare up there. I was just wondering if he found any that would fit this one made for a different one.

confused... i think we agree with each other... takes a little thinkin... not just an off the shelf over priced mount kit... but it can be done for cheap... or do they make a off the shelf hi-jack mount now?

ah... very cool... didnt know that existed... I used a couple pieced of flat stock to clamp and span the upper and lower tubes then some threaded rod through the outer piece of steel as a stub to have the hi-jack on... relatively simple!

i bought mine when there was some promotion going on, so i think it only cost me like 30 bucks shipped. i figured i would have spent atleast 10-15 bucks on stainless steel brackets, so why not. but now that they are up to 50, i can see it paying off making your own
