wk build thread!!

Ok, so to start off I've got a 2006 wk laredo. Its got the 3.7 with QT1. I bought it September 30 bone stock with 44k. In no way will this be a rock crawling beast but just to make it a more capable daily driver. Also I'm making this to basically just keep track of all the mods I've done and plan on doing, so on to the list of things!

Completed mods:
18" Gladiator wheels with 255-70-18 bridgstone duelers
OME 3" HD lift
Roof rack with snowboard attachments
K&N drop in filter
Oem hitch
Fog lights
1.25" spacers

Future mods:
Heavy duty upper control arms
More aggressive tires
4xguard skids
Rock rails
Front D-rings or hooks
3.73 gears
Rear locker
On board air
Tint the front windows to match the rear
Possibly custom made hitch tire carrier

Cant forget about the pictures

sitting next to the old beater a couple days after purchase

new wheels and tires

as it sits today with the lift and tires

I hated WK's for so long, and now I love the look of them. Go figure. I want a 3.0 CRD diesel one now. lol Kudos on making the WK a wheeler. It doesn't have 4-low, no? But you can still go pretty far with it the way it is. I like Jeeps in white, too. I'm not sure why it is. Perhaps because my first Jeep was white. It was a ZJ. Then my second was white, too. An XJ that time around.

well done, crlickey - I like the 18'' wheel thing you've done there. Gives it a unique look... most of us stayed with the 17's... But yours does look nice. You should consider the NV245 TC swap... This is something that I am planning to do this summer. I spent too much money getting the ZJ back up and running. Good luck with your build, bro.

I'm adding your build to my WK build compilation. I'll probably post it when I get a few more WK's posting there builds.. =/

Yea I've been thinking of the transfer case swap. Just trying to figure out everything I would need for it. I should have new 3.73 gears in it withing the next few months (fingers crossed)
