Thanks! Not too bad for only owning her for two weeks. Got the bumper pulled off after the picture. Relocated the evap canister to the engine compartment. It looked hideous sitting down below the bumper on the left side. Then I got all the back seams on the bumper welded up. Tomorrow I will paint the brackets and finish welding the front side of the bumper. With luck I'll be able to get the backside of it painted. Then bedliner coating for the face... Wish me luck!

Looks like I found my paint, errr....vinyl scheme. Good looking pattern (wife decided against MARPAT/Digicam) and the price is RIGHT:

Yeah, it's the JCR Offroad kit. I may have ordered their first one. I think I ordered it the forst day they offered it for sale. It is metal, precut. The instructions need a little work but this ain't my first rodeo.... I'll send them some pics with some suggestions.

Well, now its all welded up and ground down. Time for paint. Gonna start with black Rustoleum Hammered. I have some bedliner spray to cap if off if I don't like the look. We will see.

I got the bumper and shackles for $460 at my door. JCR had a sale at the time I ordered. They might still...

And there's the last coat of paint. Now if the sun would come out to help in drying I can put this thing on!

That bumper has real clean look. Good work. Goes well with the removed cladding!

Yeah, I had a plan going into it. Most important, I had the cash and the wife's approval. Afterall, I sold 3 vehicles and end up with one. Would have had all this done one week prior but I had that damn VW in my garage!

Oh, also forgot to mention that I swapped the two front door speakers for some Infinty Kappa 3 ways, fixed the actuating rod in the rear hatch for the power locks and mounted the 265 spare back in the stock location. All in between coats of paint... No sense in wasting time!

Thank you, she's coming along nicely. The tires were my 3rd choice after the Falken's jumped in price and the Geolanders came in in the wrong size. The Bridgestones ought to do nicely though!

Well, my viscous coupled isn't totally vicious yet but I hat the poor mileage and turning radius so I just bought a NP242 off eBay. $190 at my door so I can't complain. Cheapest I could find around me was 2 hours away for $150. My time and gas cost more than $40! It will be here in a week or so then I'll swap the 249 out.

Just got some new flood LEDs for the front bumper... Never been a fan of the cost if these things but they do look good. Ought to look REAL good flush mounted on my bumper!
