I think I'm gonna have to grab me one of those! They look solid as hell!

Yeah, it is solid, or will be once I build it. They had a sale when I bought mine, got the bumper with shackles delivered for 460$. Not bad. Just got done looking up some of the new Rigid Industries SR-Q series surface mount leds. Think i might have to have work comp me a set... They ought to look sweet flush mounted on the bumper.

Isn't that the way it always goes! Fortunately I do now. Unfortunately I had to sell my Duramax, Weekend Warrior and the 72 red Beetle to get it. In the end though I ended up nearly debt free (still have a mortgage and one car payment) and I have a ZJ and some cash to throw at it. All in all I guess it's a good trade off as I'll use the ZJ hopefully a bit more than the three things I sold.

My ZJ is my DD and only vehicle, seeing as I'm 18 and work for just over minimum wage at the YMCA... When I ship out for the army in July, though, I won't have anything to spend my money on except my Jeep! Lookin' forward to that day!

Been there! Almost did the air force but I followed a girl out of high school... Needless to say I should have gone in. Wouldn't trade it now though. Good luck and thank you for your service!

My buddy is doing Air Force! He got a full ride scholarship to WVU through their ROTC program and then is going in for crypto-analysis specializing in Russian. Smart dude! But I almost followed my GF. She is going to legendary Butte, MT for engineering school. I could've gone to the same school for diesel tech or auto mechanics, but I have always wanted to be a Ranger. So I made it happen!

Ranger school huh? Awesome man. That ain't easy! The satin black bug a few pages back is my buddies, he's was in force reconcile then marsoc. Now he's on his way to retirement.

AF wanted me for avionics. I maxed out the electronics and mechanical tests for the asvab. Should've taken em up on it. I could have gotten out in 4 years and made 6 figures a year in the private sector. Took about 4 times that not going in.

Oh well! No complaints, hind sight is always 20/20!

Started work on the bumper tonight. Still need welding gas so I can tack it and test fit it.

On a side note, I figured out how to add pics with the jeepforum app on my phone so viola!

Force Recon was my second choice if I couldn't get Rangers. Fortunately, I grabbed one of the last Ranger contracts in the country for this quarter. My recruiters are amazing (something I don't think anyone has EVER said before ). They don't lie, but they sure as hell work! Anyway, if I get that bumper kit, I have a girlfriend who welds 5x better than I do so she can do it as a project for her welding class for credit, and I get free labor out of the deal!

HAHA, I have a good friend who's now EX wife was a better welder than him too.... She welded up his back half and front and rear 4 links on his HUGE Dodge 2500. Nothing wrong with a woman that can't handle a stick or torch!

Exactly! I am not ashamed to say that yes, she is a much better welder than I am! Like you said, nothing wrong with a woman that can handle a torch or stick

Tires and wheels are at the tire store getting mounted. Might as well start welding the bumper!
