My Dad's 04 WJ special edition build

Whats up Grand Cherokee dudes?

I thought I should give my dad's jeep it's own thread, it's now worthy.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Special edition *With only 61K miles!!!!*
V8-5 speed auto-d30/d44a
Black Interior, Leather, infinity system, sun roof, heated everything.
Also- Factory Hooks, hitch and skids.

It's a great, clean rig.

It came with crappy tires, so we sold them, and got some 245-75r16's, and added a 2 inch BB.

The suspension needed some help, so we got some Iron Rock love, and got a set of Bilstiens that works for 2-4 inches of lift.

Much better!

It felt ok, but we noticed that the back was too loose. A call to Iron Rock got us an addco sway bar. And finally it felt amazing, tighter, and very controlled.

My dad loved the sliders I have, so we called up Kevins Off road, and got a sweet set of tube sliders. They required a right hand drill attachment.

It was looking pretty good!

But it gets better.

We recently did a full brake job. All new napa rotors, and hawk brake pads. It stops awesome. Way better than my xj.

Tuesday- My dad was sick of the minivan look... so...

We got a 3 inch IRO kit, which included springs, rear sway bar links, and a longer track bar. It was really easy to install. and we had the shocks already, so with the free shipping, it came out to $500 even.

Front removal of junk.

Rear done.

Way better!

Next updates include jks disco's, 265-75r16 BFG's, and some bar pin eliminators.

Enjoy.

We took this jeep on a road trip over to Jackson ca, and it did well, but I think a .75" spacer is needed for the back. Otherwise it rides great.

Newb question:

W/ the 3" lift did you have to drop the transfer case with brackets and or will you have to if you add spacers?
It looks really good btw!

Thanks

Jeep looks good! Bilsteins for 2-4"? I'm looking to get some and I thought the 5100s were 1-2" & 3-4". Do you have a part # for front and rear? Also, how did they ride on the 2"BB? Thanks

I don't have the part number. Call iron rock, and they can hook it up.

They were good on the BB, but without the addco, it just sucks. The 3 inch with the shocks and swaybar is great.

Nice job man! Are you ever planning on getting some nice alloys to widen the stance?

No.

We don't like the wide look.

And the factory rims are light, and really clean.

He's getting some 265/75/r16's very soon, maybe next week.

Got an update.

We just got some 265/75/r16's. It looks, and rides great!!!!

Got the updated, 4 inch wide kevins offroad sliders. They stick out better.

Also, we got some jks disconnects, but they clunk badly at the bushings.
Any ideas?
