Hahah. I'll fix the problem before the winter.... maybe.

I just don't have the time to fix it before July. Maybe if I spent less time on jeepforum

I've got some updates. Been working on the jeep after work the past 2 days.

Replaced both o2 sensors. Front and rear gear oil. Rear might have to get flushed again soon. Front looked good. Adjusted the rest upper control arms to fix my pinion angle. Might have extended them and inch or so. And I've been cutting the front under the head lights. Drivers side mostly done. Gunna have to rework an evap thing under the drivers head light.

It looks close. There is 6 inches of shock showing, and there is almost 7 inches from the tire to the head light bucket at full lock right. I'll have to cut the passenger side and flex it to see if I need to cut more, or ditch the stock head lights and get some hid driving lights and have Greg fab up some lights mounts with the factory grill.

OK, enough talk, pictures...

Drivers side cut

Drivers side without the plastic front clip.

Passenger side not cut too much.

Clearance from the backside.

From the front

From the side

I also bypassed the heater core. This part for anyone who is as lazy as me.
Riebes part

Trimming looks good. It's crazy how much it opens up without the sheet metal under the headlights.

No the structural supports is mainly the u shaped bar that bends down to the lower radiator support as well as the lower boxed sides

Picked up a Taurus fan from wjcreep today. Gunna take out the stupid fan clutch and probably just swap change the water pump since it is making some noise.

It won't weaken the unibody, just the fender a little. But I don't care, I think I'll need to cut the fender more anyway.

Got some work to do before the weekend, planning on a fordyce trip.

So are you going with a dual electric fan setup? Or just electric? Or just taking the fan clutch out for now?

If I can source all the parts in time, it will be just electric.

The Taurus fan pulls a lot of air, and I'm hoping that will cool my jeep a little better than the fan clutch.

I don't think I'll have time to get a dccontrol 2 speed fan relay, which is controlled by a thermistor. I'll just have to wire it to a 70 amp relay and run it always on high speed.

Be sure to make a plug on the fan side Incase your relay/switch burns up - that way you can Hotwire it to get home without overheating

That's a good idea. The switch really shouldn't burn up. Its only controlling the 12v supply with minimal amps. I've heard the Taurus fan pull a lot of power on high, if anything, I would need a larger rated relay for the power side of the fan.

Interested to see how you mount it. Ive been saving a few of the taurus fans from cars weve scrapped. Planned on doing this swap sometime.

Its a pretty big fan. And it has a fan shroud. So best case scenario, it bolts up pretty easily. I know I'll have to take my whole front end apart. Its cooler today so I may try to tackle part of it today after work.

Still need to cut the passenger side under the head light too. Time is running out. Cutting is more important right now. I need flex. Hahah.

Sounds like a drug. Yo, yo, you got any of that flex?
