I will tell you first hand the military tires are hard as crap. I have the old style in my back yard, which are going to be scrapped because the sidewalls are dryrotted, and Andy's current tires are military 37x12.5x16.5 Goodyear MTR's, and are extremely hard. They light up in an instant from a stop behind that 5.9, and look no worse for the wear after

BUT, that doesn't make for good crawling tires. Honestly, I can't express enough how happy I am with my irok radials. WAY better mileage than the bias iroks, good enough freeway manners to hold 80MPH if I wished, they keep a balance and are the best tire I've had yet. In fact all my ranting and raving actually got one of my friends to grab a used set of 37x12.5x15 Irok radials, and he only has the same things to say (and he's gone through 4+ sets of 36"s).

The other main tire that I feel is in the same category for streetability and overall performance is the rocker radial, though I don't have any personal experience with that one

I was thinking either Iroks or km2s, but I got a deal I couldn't pass up from Andy on some tires.

I've had so many ideas lately for the jeep...
First has been tube doors, but that might have to wait til next summer for koh.
Next has been a b-pillar tube cage with harness attachments and possibly connecting to an A-pillar cage.
Next cut out the front inner fenders and make tube shock towers with a cross bar over the engine for my coilovers.

The third one seems like the one I'm gunna do first, just so I can get my jeep done. The others are just ideas, but hopefully happen after the swap.

Oh yeah! I forgot that other set he got went to you lol! they are definately the best bang for the buck out there. The one really nice thing about the hardness is youre drivetrain will hold up that much better, and to that much more skinny pedal hahaha.

Cagework should definately be pretty high on your list, and the engine bay is a good place to start for your coilovers. I have been at a point of needing a cage in my jeep for probably the past couple years, but I've been putting all my energy into my other projects. If I don't get it handled, sooner of later it's going to bite me in the *** and I'm going to end up on my lid, and possibly injured.

I just got a free 5 point harness from a buddy, now I just need to build the cage to mount it to haha.

I want to get some protection before my jeep starts to look like yours! Hahahahaha. But ya, cage will probably be done after the axle swap. I want to make it as safe as possible cuz I plan to have the jeep when I get older and have kids.

And I figure I might as well do it sooner when I'm younger and have money to blow! ha! I'll start in the engine bay with the cross bar. I've heard a few people say stay away from inner diameter tube clamps, but what is another option to make the bar removable when engine work is needed?

new to me tires. 35s. gave the 33s to my girlfriend, so i thought id step up a size.

Those 35s are looking good with the 4.5 inch lift. Makes me rethink my decision for 33s.

its only a 4 inch lift, thats sagging quite a bit mostly on the passenger side

Thanks guys. I feel like the 33s were too small after the rear fenders were cut.

But the 35s rub inner fender well when turning. I have to get that fixed soon.

Went wheeling off lomida road yesterday after work. Kinda disappointed I still rub front and back, but that didn't limit me too much. Time to cut more hahah
