Everything minus a semi float rear axle.

Its actually very strong so far and the buggy only weights like 2200 lbs. Its the only stock 35 spline semi float axle i have seen. I want to take out the spools and instal some selectable lockers and a set of cutting brakes.

That buggy looks badass, but with all the heavy parts you mentioned I'd think it would end up in the 3500lb range. Not that I think you're getting close to the limit on that axle though!

So we spent 12 hours yesterday building and install long arms in the rear. It's a triangulated 4 link. Marc can add more pictures if he wants.

Old **** out.


Lower arms build and welded. Lower arms are ruff stuff 1/14" heims. Lower I think are the 3/4".


Upper mount tack welded. Bracket from Balistic Fab.


D44 link mounts with plate.


Just some welding.


Upper and lower mounts fully welded.


The final result.

And they are 1 1/4 ruff stuff heims lowers with 2 inch. 250 wall dom and 3/4 inch uppers with 1 1/2 inch. 250 wall dom.

I saw these pics last night . Lookin awesome man! One thing I highly recommend, do something to plate the frame rail and connect the two mounts to each other. It'll help keep the unibody strong for years to come haha. Feel the wrath of my paint skills!

Ill make a template and get it to you asap. Heading to the Rubicon in like 2 weeks so strong is always better.

That's one thing I really wanted to do, is plate the unibody.

The road noise definitely increased with hard joints on all ends. I think im getting a little noise from the drive shaft, luckily the uppers make it easy to mess with the linking angle.

Greg is saying to make a plate to attach the 2 brackets for strength. Get it and I'll weld it.
