Did you weigh your rig or just guess at the spring rate?

I used the spring rates Chris used on the white whale and the escape artist.

I figured its a good starting point. If I want it stiffer/softer, ill swap out springs and mess with the valving.

I'll have to double check when I get home but I'm pretty sure it was their "medium" valving.

Lots of tuning no matter what you select. That is a big part of coilovers most people skip that they shouldn't.

Agreed. Luckily I work at a shop so I have a clean place to work on the coilovers.

Plus if I need to leave it over night, no problems!

I'm afraid right now that the valving is going to be too stiff.

haha looks like fun man! And looks like you're gettin ready for the build, looking forward to it . Stiffer valving just means you'll be able to go faster without bottoming it out hehehe

I'm not trying to be a pre runner. Ha. But I'll see how I like it. Adjust it accordingly.

I just noticed in the last picture, my spring is bowed... a lot.

A few more pictures of the other night...

This was a scary time. The back of his 4runner is about 37 inches off the ground. We thought he was gunna hit tail gate, but didn't right there. He went up a little bit and smashed it, nice little dent now.

There are a few entrances to go in. Technically I don't think its closed, but there is a gate to go around.

Everytime I've gone out there I've met new people, so it seems pretty popular.

When you get back Andy, we need to go test out your jeep.
