If we are all throwing opinions out there, I like the contrast. Dark Jeep, chrome/silver wheels. Light Jeep, Dark Wheels. That is just me.

Decided to keep the polished look, they were wanting an arm and a leg after all said and done lol. So I spent some coin on my sound system and then went up to the mountain a couple times this weekend. Saturday was crap with no snow, and then it snowed a good few inches or more in some spots yesterday so we went up again. Well worth it, got a couple pictures of it this morning. My brother got his permit so Ive been letting him drive up to the mountain for a change. So I was taking pictures

I really like this picture. Un-edited, straight out of camera

So, for now Im going to be keeping the jeep maintained. Got to get the clockspring fixed in the steering wheel, put the sway bar links on the outside of my sway bar because its hitting the frame (my bad for installing them on the inside), and then maybe a synthetic oil change cause its creeping on 10k miles with the new motor (around 8k or 9k)

Also I was noticing after I washed the jeep, there are a lot of rock chips on my fender flares in the back. Im not thinking of getting a set of jeep mud flaps that stock jeeps would have. Nothing fancy but It would be nice to keep the rocks off the flares. Its too late now but I dont want it to get worse. Ill get a link for something that im thinking of. The rear I dont know how they would mount up being that I have the bumper there so there is limited ways to mount them. Ofcourse you could just weld a couple tiny tabs and then used some self drillers to screw to the bumper..

At this point, it would be a winter thing. I drive weekly up to the mountain so this would be a seasonal outfit. I havent been wheeling much anyways, ill be using the jeep alot for work so im kinda getting burned out on fixing **** when I wheel, or having to tinker with something all the time after I get done. Im just wanting a nice DD that I can take my family in and enjoy the ride instead of always having to maintain it. If worst comes to worst I can just unscrew them. But, I dont think they would get too bashed up, I'm sure they are flexible too.

i know what you mean. thats why i quit racing and sold all those cars, sh!t adds up really quick over a short period of time..

if it's for a short period of time, i say run um then. it should be easy to find a way to mount them on the rear, once you have them in hand, its easier to work and brainstorm with.

Definitely, they could be hard though like my moms acura. Hers arent forgiving at all. I might just find some mudflaps on the smaller scale and run those. Its just an idea.

I have the stock Jeep mud flaps on since almost brand new. They are great, keep so much crap off the bumpers/cladding. They are not very flexible however I have scrapped them over so much crap before and have not really had an issue. You could always get some rubber mats from Lowes and cut them to make flexible mud flaps and then not have the issue with off roading. Then you will have a larger mud flap too for your bigger tires.

Good to know.. Personally I dont want something cheap looking. I like that silver jeep logo on them, and I dont want the huge ridiculous mud flap look. Something sleek that flows with the flares. The flares are so rounded and then you get a square flap to unflow things.. lol not mah steez.

The fronts I hope flow good with the flares, cause they are pre molded so they probably wont match up perfectly. Ill go to the stealership to see if I can see it in hand first, maybe tomorrow.

I just think that in your case the stock mud flaps are not gonna cut it with the over flares and the large tires... like its a small flap!

But, I do agree with keep the lines looking good!

The stock mud flaps would go best with your 29 inch tires!! Ha. But for giggles you can still see what they look like!

Yeah you can still get sheets of thicker rubber and cut them how you want!
