Probably stock for the engine. I'll have the engine guru check it out and see if it can deal with a rebuild or if it's better to just put a new engine in, which would be a 5.9.

Some ******* "broke" into my unlocked Jeep and stole my CD player. I am now leaving the passenger door unlocked with a CS grenade in it.

That sucks man! I absolutely HATE thieves!!!
Get a job and buy your own ****!!! Don't steal it from someone who did!!!

Sad part is, that you should be glad it wasn't locked. If it had been and they wanted it that bad, you'd be out a window too!

Yeah. Oh well. My glovebox has been stuck and wouldn't open for months. When they broke into the glove box, it now works. Opens and closes. Whoever it was, he was on foot. He left the subwoofer and my cv axles and control arms, and my amp. Just took the CD player and bolted. I am a bouncer downtown so I get off work around 3am, I'm going to start walking around the neighborhood after work and see if I can catch the little a-hole. I'm already pissed off after spending my weekend nights with drunk a-holes being drunk a-holes, I would love nothing more than to catch this dude.

Oh, the Jeep was unlocked for one night because the battery was charging in my garage. He either tried every night, or just got lucky.

Still alive, still planning on August build. Also found out the local 242 that's been trying to sell for months is still for sale, so shot him an e-mail.

$300 for a 242 with driveshaft and shift bezel seem legit?

Also e-mailed the local offroad shop for a quote on putting on 4" lift. I need all new suspension anyway, might as well knock out all the birds with one stone. That should at least get me driving, and I can do the rest of the stuff, myself.

Ordered some Kryptek Typhoon wrap from US Night Vision. Plan is to wrap some stuff in the Jeep and then get the Typhoon seat covers to finish it all off. Wrap is on its way, we'll see how badly I mess it up, lol.

Sorry for lots of text and no pics! Here's one to tide you over... gotta rip off that ugly bumper:

$300 w/ the drive shaft is on the high end of reasonable, but reasonable nonetheless.

Don't apologize for no pics mang, not everyone has "extra" cash these days.... Myself included...
My camera crapped out about a month ago, and it will be tax return time before I'll have cash for a DECENT camera, as far as I can see....
Good luck!

Alright, thanks! I'll haggle him down when the time comes. Alright, quote for 4" lift w/ slip yoke came in: $2228 installed, not long-arms.

Waiting for engine rebuild quote.

Well, I had somebody come look at the Jeep and he liked it. Said he wanted to buy it but needed a few days. Kind of lost him on e-mail, today, but... as much as I want to keep it, I may be getting a job back in my hometown 6 hours away and really have no way to affordably get the Jeep back up there. At this point, I don't trust it making the drive, and that's if I found a way to get the 6 hours down here on a weekend to drive it back up. Ah, life choices. If I do get it up there I'll have a three car shop/garage that I can get a lot of work done on it, myself, but how the heck am I going to get it up there. Shipping it was like $800 - not worth it. Ideas? What if I get AAA because I can get, what, two tows within 300 miles? So I could just drive it until it dies, and have it towed back up there?
