I'm guessing that you do not have a resonator. A resonator or even a resonated tip, could of helped, but its all what the user considers to be "loud".

3" Magnaflow exhaust

I have a 3" in and out Magnaflow exhaust on my WK. You can specify which muffler you want if you order it and weld it on. I am very happy with mine, the note is awesome. Get many compliments on the sound and how fast it is.
