i'm looking at the hankook dynapro mts 10 ply for 170 a piece. my uncle somewhat talked me out of retreads, he doesnt run them even on his semi because they are prone to flat spots and he just doesnt trust them. plus for 70 bucks more for a tire i'm gonna get better tread life out of them too

I work for one of the biggest trucking companies in the country and we run retreads . . . I wouldn't worry about it.

i may have changed my mind on tires. i didnt realize that the mud rovers arent 10 ply and i read some bad reviews so ill probably end up just sucking it up and getting some km2's that i know i wont have any problems. and one thing i want to try with when i get them is using the plastic bb's to balance the tires instead of the regular weights

I did this on the KM1s that I had. Worked okay but I have heard people say that the BB balancing only works well with larger tires, like 35"+. Aren't you getting 33s?

Yeah I am getting 33s but I have a buddy in town that is running 33 inch km2s on his xj with the bbs in them but the only difference is he's running a 15x10 aluminum wheel and those things are balanced perfect

Retreads

I see a retread in the road at least three times a week. I never see a whole tire. I ran one over once in the rain and nearly wrecked. I run Duratracs and I love em, but they are a bit too small! My wife told me to buy the 33's and I bought the 31's I shoulda listened. Now I want the 33's and she says to get 35's. Nice build Man!

You should check out the Centramatic wheel balancers. I bought some on craigslist for 70 bucks and they work great
