Kramer H's 4.7 Boosted Build Thread
So i guess i finally decided to start one of these things. But it gives me something to do while its raining outside (its a seattle thing )
I bought my 2001 Jeep grand cherokee with 95,xxx on it for 11,500 about 3 years ago (yeah i know i got screwed, its what happens when you think you HAVE to have it) from carson cars in lynnwood washington (NO ONE BUY THERE! THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS!) anyhow, before it left their lot it broke. (the famous blend door issue) so after several weeks of bickering back and forth they finally decided to own up and fix it with one from a junkyard (tried to get them to do a heater treater but no go)
Stock when i picked it up

sweet mud flaps, i know i know

So for about 6 months it was stock, just driving it around and paying it off, until i stumbled across a few craigslist items and such. after a phone call, ferry ride, and about 3 hours out of my sunday (shoulda been at church, OOPS!) i can home with a steal of a deal for $300. a COMPLETE teraflex 4" short arm kit, a teraflex 2" BB with bumpstops and such, 4 Dt8000's and 4 chrome Ultra 15x8 wheels with 3.75 backspacing! only bad thing was, EVERY bushing was rotted out due to sitting on the side of this dudes house in a cooler! took it home, ordered the FINEST bushings from Nick (kolak) and got everything powdercoated for free! (my total cost was around 600 (for all new bushings and the sandblasting of the wheels to get them powdercoated black)
after a few months of the lift sitting there, i got around to installing it along with a few more goodies

But now you have TWO to build! i still cant belive you traded the neon for that niner. did you ever get the title figured out?

Thanks man. That really means alot. I put alot of work into her in a short time and will ALWAYS regret selling her. One day maybe I will get her back when the new owner decides to sell. Just wait, my new 5.9 will be better forsure. I still havent gotten the title figured out for that niner. im not too worried about it since it really never needs to be on the street. I can just tow it wherever I want. I got really excited today though as I found a mint Platinum 5.9 with blown motor for 1200 bucks. I figured I could swap the engine out of this 5.9 with no title and have a mint platinum 5.9 for super cheap, but then I saw that it was forsale in Canada
