I like the WJ bro keep it going. If your looking to get new tires anytime soon or with your new lift, i would recomend getting goodyear duratracs. They go for a good price and are the most aggresive all terrain i could find. I currently have 31"s on my Stock WJ and they take me places i couldnt imagine a stocko could go.

You drive a tj, we drive a zj. We have more power while you get more shower. We get the v8 while you get there too late. You have 2 doors well, we have 2 more. Ours costs a grand while yours has a price we cant stand.

thanks man, im pretty set on tires right now im looking into Mickey Thompson MTZ but my decision still isnt final on tires ... since they will take awhile after i get the lift.. but duratrac look pretty aggressive im going to have to look into there prices and sizes

if i ever get a bumper it would probably be tubed and i would hopefully make it myself or help somebody make it for me

here a photoshopped pic of what i want my bumper to sort of look like

the light in between the stinger will be closer together and a little bit bigger but that a general idea

since im going wheeling on Saturday i decided to change all my tie rod ends ..i found out that its not an easy job until you use some PB blaster, a blow torch and a pickle fork

as of right now my jeep is getting an new alignment since i couldn't put on the new TREs the exact same way as the old one were
heres some pics i took while i installed them

i got the duralast ones from autozone
the ones that go to the drag link do not have grease fittings but the one on my tierod does not happy about it but i needed new ones because they had alot of play in them esp. at the pitman arm

this is the TRE that was connected on the pitman arm you cant tell but it was pretty worn i could wiggle it up and down while it was bolted down to the pitman arm

heres the new one installed on the pitman arm

and the knuckle side

these are the TREs with grease fittings for the tierod dont have pics of them installed since it is getting aligned at the moment

also got board one day so i made my self a RTI ramp with some wood posts i had in my back yard .. i dug them into the ground and put bricks around them so it wouldn't move as much ..it works pretty good and i don't have to look for a place to flex anymore if i have to do any trimming

Lovin how your wj is coming along I see in your picture of the knuckle side joint you have sway bar discos. What hardware did you use for that setup and where did you get those links from. I would like to do that for mine and that looks like a simple solid setup. Also do you get any noise from them from any kind of movement?

those are rough country discos i think there only 50 bucks but they work great..

and i couldn't tell you if they make any noise since my shocks clunk enough already .. but its a jeep its going to have a lot of noises

so today i tackled changing my steering box.. awhile back i hit a rut pretty hard and it striped the gears in the box..and when i went to get my jeep aligned after putting on the tierod ends they said i needed a new box..so i picked one up from a junk yard for 80 bucks it was from a 2004 and they had the box since 2006 so i figured there were not many miles on the box.. overall the install wasnt to hard .. but thankfully while i was working on it i noticed there was a bolt missing that held my trac bar drop bracket in place.. so when ever i turned left the body moved before the tires moved ..good thing i already had an adj. trac bar in my garage waiting to be installed

heres some pics i took today

new steering box came with the stock pitman arm so i had to take that off

heres the old box with the steering wheel shaft disconnected

had to take out my washer bottle (should of gotten a ZJ washer bottle and put that in while it was out)

the pitman arm puller became my friend .. it took ALOT of pb blaster and some heat to loosen up the pitman but it finally came out

well tommorow im taking my jeep to the shop to get realigned and there also going to throw in my adj trac bar

here some pics of rough country's trac bar relocation mount that failed and the bolt snapped off.. which is very scary when it happens
in this pic i show the hole where the bolt is supposed to be

heres a pic of the mount itself and shows why you need that bolt

with no bolt when ever you make a left turn it moves the mount to the left and actually move the body before the wheels.. but for right turns it works fine because the mount pushes against the body

heres a pic of the new ADJ. trac bar

cant wait for the jeep to be back on the road i haven't drove my jeep for about two weeks only time i drove it was for a test drive when i put in the new steering box then found out about my broken bolt
