read every single post =.. good stuff jersey... too bad you don't live closer to me in Iowa. lol. I am about to do my RC lift kit, RC adj trac bar, RC quick discos, RC single steering stabalizer, and Steering box.

Question on the box.. why did you take the pitman arm off the box? Mine is from junk yard as well and the pitman was on it. Since I have the adj trac bar, i won't need it, at least that is my understanding. So technically, I could just leave it on, right?

For the alignement, did the shop give you guff for having a lift? did they charge more for it? Cause, I am definately gonna need it once I get this **** installed.. I hate my turn signals don't work! lol

So with the bumper off, you rubbin? you running spacers? I like your trim job and was thinking of imitating it. I can protect the radiator.. I got steel supply at work.

why did you say the 2' antenna was too short? Reception? Transmitting? I just bought a Uniden 510XL and a 2 ft stick antenna. I imagined it would be an alright setup and distance should be decent within 3 mile radius.

Thanks bro. Nice ride. I've yet to start my build.. but i think, tomorrow is the day. I've got my camera charged.. and my football gear on.. gonna go chargin into it!

i took the pitman off and installed the drop because i herd you will get death wobble... and my shop will fix anything even if it has a lift.. they actually put it on haha .. if your shop complains then your going to the wrong people

and i only rubbed on my front bumper thats why i cut the fog light section out
and the 2' antenna was crap i couldn't even pick up a mile range since there was so much interference

Only reason u did a drop pitman arm is because you did a drop tracbar bracket? Just for clarification.

Right, when you do a drop trackbar bracket, you have to install a pitman arm drop to keep the drag link and trackbar parrallel to avoid bump steer and death wobble. That has been atleast what I've been told...

alrightttt well i finally got my new bushings into my shocks yesterday and it was a PITA .... since i used my stock shock sleeves it was so hard to press them into the bushings with a vice

heres the new hardware.. rancho bushings and OEM sleeves to get rid of the clunking

when i got my shocks out i was a little disappointed.. check out that rust

well after i got over that i tackled get the bushings in heres a comparison to the RC bar pin and OEM bar pin

an hour later..hah and i was done

heres what i used for the panel hahahhaha..we used the sign as a target during the Superbowl

heres the funny thing about this project ..for a template i figured out a ticket folded in half was the perfect size for where i mounting the panel

next i took a bend on it so it could be mounted

got some nice switches at radio shack

heres the mock up picture of the switches

the switches mounted to the panel... yeah i know there not straight but i fixed them today with my dremel

threw some black paint on it .. ill have some pictures up tomorrow of the panel mounted
