Plugs looked pretty good actually. You've been going through that WJ from top to bottom! Good to start fresh on all the fluids, etc for peace of mind!

Nice engine!

Update on fuel consumption.

Calculated by EVIC:
As it was when i bought it Roadtrip 550km back home from PO, 1.8l/km~12.4mpg
Around town driving and sitting in rush hour trafic, 2.5l/km~9.4mpg!!!!

This is hilarious with gas prices at 16.5NOK pr/liter~10.22USD pr/gallon!!!! No wonder why PO claimed it was toooooo thirsty, i totally agree, lol

AFTER vacum/idle leak fix, Tune up/service, engine oil'n filter, PCV, TB/IAC/Airfilter/intake clean, sparkplugs, fuel filter

Around town driving and sitting in rush hour trafic, 1.85l/km~12.7mpg
Roadtrip to Sweden 250km today doing 75mph+ in heavy rain, 1.18l/km~19.93mpg!!!

EDIT: CALCULATED BY HAND:
Last 1 full tank 50/50 Mixed around town and highway, 1.59l/km ~ 14.79mpg.

Not bad to be a V8, guess fuel consumption worries now Are off my list, engine pulls strong, no lack off power, many many smiles pr miles

I'm Norwegian...ish (mostly) & think it'd be awesome to move there...but $10.22/gallon.

I also don't speak Norwegian or know how I'd get my jeep there....but still think it'd be cool

Gotta be a bad sensor that doesn't work below a certain pressure. My 4.7HO uses a little oil between changes. 177400 miles.

Sending units can be all over the map when they go out, they don't always just quit. I'm betting a new sender and no more issues.

x3, mine came with bad sensor that would suddenly drop to zero + CEL, then be fine, then screw up again. Replaced with a Mopar, one month later it died too. But this time it showed high oil pressure all the time and never fluctuated (which 2001's should do), even with the motor not running it would show pressure. It gave me the same code you had. When I cleared the code by disconnecting the battery, it didn't return, even though the sensor still wasn't working right and still showed high pressure. Luckily my parts guy at the dealership exchanged it for another new one. That one works just fine.

-Nice new Jeep BTW, looking forward to the LIFT

^^^New oil pressure sensor on order, will replace it asap when it arrieves, i really dont like the idea of the dummy gauge, it st up id.
Will do an engine flush and put some Omega 10W-30 in it, it might cure on my tick.

I got everything for the lift now, rear billy's also,
But my mechanic is on holyday until january, so i will wait until then cause of aligment needed, and its so much easier for him with a lift and everything, and for me to Get it back up snd running the same day.

Also waiting for a 40" led light bar,
Exhaust and tuner,

And still lots of parts in my Garage That need mounted, front shackles, diff covers, Stillen brakes,,,,

More to come soooon,,,,,

From 99-01 the WJ's used an actual oil pressure sender unit. In the 02-04's the used a "dummy gauge" and if the oil pressure is in a certain range it sits exactly where the last picture shows. I have always wondered if you could swap a real gauge into a newer WJ.

I wondered about that too but from what I've been able to find out it won't work. The dummy gauge has two wires from the sending unit and the real one three, so theres a PCM issue from what I understand.
