So you got to keep parts, and getting paid by the insurance company? That is interesting, not how it works around here. ha

Yes Michael, thats right, cause
If it somehow was my fault, it should be covered by my insurance and my coverage for the Jeep is just book value.

But ONE SMART guy told me That they will try to cover the damages due to my coverage in my insurance deal.
This ONE SMART guy also told me That since this was completly not my fault my insurance coverage dont mean shhhh in this case..
Then its the INSURANCE LAW tha comes onboard to play
By the insurance law, its the economical loss That i have That is going to be covered, Even if it extend the coverage in my insurance deal.

THIS WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW AND GOOD NEWS FOR ME, THANKS ONE SMART GUY

I told this to the insurance company, they turned around right away and TJITJIIIING we have money for parts and upgrades.

So i got about 22k$ for the Jeep (book value,)
+15k$ for parts snd upgrades,
And traded the wreck back again for 5k$ of Those 15,,,,

I think the insurance law is the same over there,
But they dont offer or tell this, you will have to demand it, atleast its how it Works here.
Its not usual to Get the wreck back when unibody i croocked, but they felt like i deserved it after all the parts and time and effort put into it.
I will not Get money before wreck is parted out and returned to insurance wrecker/JY.

Cause this Vehicle Are not going back on the Road again, so they wil see it Get wrecked before they pay me the money.

Oh I think I see now. Since you were NOT at fault here, the person who hit you, his/her insurance is paying out to you. (Which is what I would expect however, the part out side of it was throwing me off.)

It's sad at the end of the day but, I am glad to see that you're alright first off, and then seemingly well compensated for the loss of the Jeep.

Thx Michael, as bad as it is, i somehow find motivation in building a new'n better rig,
having all this spares is deff great.

VERY IMPORTANT lesson learned, and very good fact to know, That if you Are not at fault in an accident, your coverage dosent matter, its your ECONOMICAL LOSS That should be covered.

Now off to pull axles, engine'n Transmission.

New buildt thread coming up when i find a new Jeep.

Finished up with the wrecked Jeep today,
Axles, engine'n trans,,,,, Feels Good
Also found my front lower spring perch totally rotten, very bad
Got me thinking i had problems down the Road.
Might have to do some preventive Work to the next one,,,, Seems like shhhh design, argh

But on the Good side, this was the one and only suprice we found disassembling the whole Jeep,
No rust anywhere, and not Even a stuck bolt a breakerbar couldnt handle, whole Jeep was disassemblied with only elbowgrease, breakerbar, handtools, and a 1.5T garagejack

Some last pics of the sceleton>>>

Good Job. I think it is great experience to tear down a car. Now you can go and replace any part in your new WJ with no problem (I hope no parts will need to be changed

Off the topic, I want to ask you a question, I have 01 WG limited, as you had a WG and I believe you had a similar temperature and pressure gauge, do you remember usually both gauges needle where they used to set during normal operating conditions?

My WG temperature Gauge has no numbers on it, but it always sets on hair thickness below the middle while normal driving, and when I go wheeling it goes a hair thickness over the half and then it goes back below the middle, is it what you had on your WG?

Concerning the Oil pressure gauge, it is divided into 4 quarters, first quart has no number, but the one in the middle measures 3 bars, and usually my gauge measures something around the 3rd quarter which is supposed to be around 4.5 bars.

The engine runs nice and smooth so far but it hit the 200,000 km and just I want to know if everything works as it is supposed to be.

Thanks in advance

Thats seems like excactly what my gauges was showing when everything was normal.
Temperatur, straight up/middle, Hair down, Hair up. Oil presure, from 3-5 bar, everything should be fine, 200k km is nothing for These engine's, dont worry.

Glad to hear that.

In my Area, am the only one who drives WJ/G with some upgrades/modifications.

And it's like every two/three weeks and sometimes one month to see one WJ/G passing by, so it is good to know that in Norway it is different.

Nja. Mine was the one and only lifted, loved, and modded seriously, i have seen around here to, they Are around but rare and mostly bone stock,
Seems like after 01 they sold mainly 3.1 and 2.7 Diesel's due to very high taxes on Those V8's.
The 4.7HO Are also valued higher in price.
Atleast i now have 2 Jeep's to Go look at

Sorry about the wreck. Maybe in your next WJ invest in a heavy duty bumper!
