Any idea how much snow we're getting up there? We're taking my dads van rather than my brothers ZJ for some reason.

Oh, thanks alot! I haven't been able to get a straight answer from anyone about that. Someone was trying to tell me they were different because of certain properties? (I guess like adding Friction modifier to a LSD??)
And just a little advice from experience, DO NOT let a police officer know that bat is for protection. DO NOT!

I don't plan on bragging about it or anything. My Girlfriends dad is a Sergeant for the local PD
Nice start to your build
Thank alot, it's finally starting to come together. If I can find a shop that will pass me for an inspection the lift should be on next week.
what happend when you break up? lets see if he comes running to help you out once you get a weapons charge after you break up.

Either way its retarded to get out of the car with a bat, youd better hope the person your in battle with doesnt have a gun in their car. Never bring a bat to a gunfight.

I was referring to how he does not like me, He wouldn't help me at all hence the thumbsdown. I believe you should change that when to an if. There's no telling if we'll stay together, but it's looking good so far. I never plan on getting in a fight with anyone, and if I ever did, I wouldn't use a weapon. The bat is simply an inside joke between me and my younger brother 1stZJ. So before you come into my thread talking ****, telling me I'm retarded to get out of the JEEP with a bat, think about it. Sorry if you didn't mean any disrespect by your statement, but I took offense.

Im not trying to talk "****"

Im just saying that its stupid to keep a weapon in your jeep, whether you plan to use it or not. And i also dont want to see a thread that perrywinklezj got shot because he got out of the car with a weapon. Not trying to offend just trying to show you that its not such a good idea.

There is a method to my madness.

Like I said, not a weapon, inside joke/practical tool. Sorry for getting offended, hard to tell what someones tone is over the internet. I actually keep it for wheeling purposes. I use it to tell how deep water is, clear small branches, break ice (again to see how deep the water is), and random things like that. I'm not at all a violent person, and I'm especially against using weapons in any sort of altercation. Weapons only make things alot worse for both parties involved.

By the way, you have an incredible XJ. 5 out of 5 stars my friend. Keep up the amazing work

As for the build side of things. It's snowing here, further progress will be halted for a few days. Even if I had some time between both jobs, it's still cold as hell with snow on the ground. I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish I had a garage right now.

my girlfriends letting me borrow her dads car tent. It has the PVC frame with tarp like outer skin. Progress on the ZJ should continue if I get that thing up. I need to fix my sleeping habits. Hell, even beer won't put me to sleep anymore

I'm on west broad street. Your store is closer though, I go in there all the time. Were you the kid that came up and asked me about my tinted tails?

Haha yea that was me. I recognize you and your brother 1stzj i think when you guys come in. I tried tinting my tails before with 2 coats but I think the nightshade I used was left out in the cold to long so it didnt come out right so i want to try it again.

I took the tail lights out, sanded them with some pretty light sandpaper. I believe it was 1500-2000 I really can't remember now. I taped off the clear reverse part of the light, and sprayed I think it was 3 really light coats. Took the taped off and sprayed another light-medium coat. Then I sprayed clear coat on them to give them a nice shine. Just don't do what Nathan did, and spray like 5 thick coats on it. His are black as ****, and look horrible. Good luck.
