interior lights flashing...draining battery overnight.

My 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo interior lights flash on and off while driving. Sometimes they go off when I leave the car, often they don't. I replaced the battery, put new switch plugs on the doors, replaced harness. Had the electricals checked and was told it was the BCM module with a replacement cost of $3500. Since the harness and battery replacement car works far better but lights still are a problem. Iremove the fuse when not in car to avoid battery drain but have not found a fuse chart that fits my fuse box...all the ones I find online so far look nothing like the one I have on the passenger side. A mechanic pulled two for me. Both seemed to have some part of that dome light. One takes out my console lights and dials, the other takes out my cooler, and power windows. as well. Nothing else is a problem except the dome lights. BCM not manufactured anymore. I can find a used one at the salvage yard But when I called Jeep for a part number they said putting a used BCM in would not help anything as it needed to be "reprogrammed" and that would cost $165.00 and a used module from them would be over $400. for a close to $600 repair. The salvage has them for $110.00. But I still do not know if the issue is a BCM for sure. The guy who ran the electrical test on my car said that over 2000 functions were running nightly while the car was turned off. He said he never saw anything like it. Any ideas?
